The Institute campus is 8 Km from the Patna junction railway station and 20 Km from the Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna . The entrance to the institute is from Ashok Rajpath and it is about 3Km from the famous Gandhi Maidan. The Institute is residential in nature and provides residential facilities to its students as well as teachers as per availability. Students Activities & Clubs
E-x-E or Extreme Engineers is a student initiative to enhance the various technical skills of students. Here, students impart knowledge to others and thus grow as a community. Several topics and subjects are taught and discussed which are highly relevant in terms of further applications. The club attracts huge participation in the various workshops conducted on robotics and coding.
The members of this group teach students of the financially weaker sections of the society. Some students are also prepared for Navodaya Entrance Examination. Hundreds of students from nearby slums come to study here everyday. They are also provided with stationary items and aids in their regular schooling. It runs on donations and contributions made by the members of the group. It was started under the name Kartavya and has been elemental in making a positive difference in the lives of the kids taught here.
It is a Socio-Techno-Cultural group of NIT Patna. Being highly versatile, the group has many sections which help to mould students in various aspects. It prepares students for GATE and CAT by conducting tests. Members of the society also train students in Web Development. It also conducts brain teasers series regularly to help students to prepare for interviews. Conspiciens has put in immense efforts to organise competitions and workshops to help the students to show their skills and learn amazing new things.
This student group works incessantly in order to improve the soft skills of students. It conducts activities and competitions which have a radically different approach to groom the personality of an individual. It started under the umbrella of the Training and Placement Cell and now operates under Dean – Students Welfare.
The Entrepreneurship Cell of NIT Patna was established in 2013 with an aim to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and start up culture in the college. It conducts several activities, tests and workshops for the development and betterment of the students.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) was launched in 1969 and is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage. The NSS chapter at NIT Patna follows the cardinal principle of the NSS programme which is aimed at organising events by the students themselves such that both students and teachers get a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building through their combined participation in community service. The programme aims to inculcate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity.
The Photography Club at NIT Patna is a group of people who share a passion for photography and meet frequently to showcase and discuss new ideas and thoughts. The club is run by a large number of students from all the departments who have shown creativity in the field of photography.
Music club was established in 2014 to promote students who have extraordinary talent in music. Since then the club has established a college band named AKSH which has gained huge popularity. The band has been invited to perform at various fests and events. The club aims at mentoring students to polish their singing and instrument playing skills.
