AP ICET Result 2024

The AP ICET Result 2024 will be released in June 2024 in the form of a rank card. The following points outline key aspects of the AP ICET exam 2024, including qualifying criteria for different categories of candidates and the ranking process implemented by APSCHE.

• General Category candidates are required to achieve a minimum score of 25%, equating to at least 50 marks out of 200, to pass the AP ICET exam 2024.
• There is no specified minimum qualifying percentage for candidates from Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories. However, the concession in qualifying criteria applies exclusively to reserved category test-takers.
• APSCHE assigns state-wide ranks to candidates based on merit. The ranking process involves considering the average marks of the top 0.1% of candidates within their respective sessions.
• Additionally, the average marks of the top 0.1% of all candidates across all sessions are factored into the overall ranking.
• In the case of tied scores among candidates, a tie-breaking system is implemented. This system evaluates candidates' scores in Section A, Section B, and their age, respectively.

The validity of the merit rank obtained by candidates in AP ICET 2024 is 1 year, i.e. for the academic year 2024-25, in the colleges located in Andhra Pradesh. If there are any disputes arising from the AP ICET 2024 exam, they shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of AP, Amaravati only. In such disputes, only the Convener, AP ICET 2024, and the Secretary, APSCHE can be impleaded as respondents.

AP ICET 2024 Merit List

The AP ICET merit list 2024 will be released along with the AP ICET results by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. The AP ICET merit list will consist of all the candidates who appeared for AP ICET and their corresponding marks and ranks obtained in the exam. The AP ICET Merit list will feature all the candidates who have appeared for AP ICET regardless of their scores. Candidates who have qualified for the exam will be able to participate in the AP ICET counselling process. Using the AP ICET merit list, candidates will be able to ascertain whether they have qualified for the counselling process after the AP ICET results have been declared. • If two or more candidates receive the same overall score in AP ICET, their ranks will be decided using their performance in Section A of the AP ICET question paper.
• If the tie still persists, candidates will be ranked based on their performance in Section B of the AP ICET question paper.
• Subsequently, if a tie still persists, candidates will be ranked based on their age and the candidate who is older will be awarded the higher rank on the AP ICET merit list.

AP ICET 2024 Counselling Procedure

The AP ICET 2024 counselling process will begin soon after the results are announced. Candidates are first required to register on the AP ICET website at icet-sche.aptonline.in. for the web-based counselling process by paying a processing fee (Rs 1200 for General & OBC and Rs 60 for SC/ST). Shortlisting of candidates for the AP ICET counselling process is done on the basis of their rank on the merit list. After the candidates are done choosing the college or stream on the basis of their ranks, they must verify their documents online.

Candidates will be provided registration numbers/user IDs and passwords which they will use later on to participate in web counselling. The seat allotment letter is sent to the candidates through SMS or email on their email ID and mobile number registered with AP ICET.
