AP ICET Results 2023 have been released on June 15, 2023, through online mode on its official website -cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Students will be able to check their AP ICET result 2023 by entering their Registration No., Hall Ticket No., and Date of Birth. The result is available in the form of a scorecard that has the name of the candidate, section-wise marks, hall ticket number, overall marks, and rank of the candidate. This year, Sri Krishnadevaraya University conducted the AP ICET 2023 exam on May 24 on behalf of the A.P. State Council of Higher Education. • Visit the official website of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, i.e. cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.

• On the homepage, click on the link available for accessing the AP ICET results 2023.

• A new page will open where you will be required to enter your Registration Number and ICET Hall Ticket number, and then click on the 'View Result' tab.

• AP ICET 2023 scorecard will be displayed on the screen.

What After AP ICET Results 2023?

After the declaration of the AP ICET Results 2023 and release of cutoffs by participating institutes, shortlisted candidates will have to appear in the AP ICET Counselling 2023. After the release of the provisional allotment list by participating institutes, the counselling of AP ICET 2023 will begin in online mode. The counselling fee for General category candidates will be Rs 1200 and for Reserved category candidates it is Rs 600.

AP ICET Results 2023: Normalization of Scores

AP ICET 2023 was conducted in two sessions based on the same syllabus and exam pattern for candidates having the same eligibility criteria. A candidate was eligible to appear only in one session. Since the question paper was different for each session, there is a possibility that the candidates compare themselves about the variation in the difficulty level of questions. However, it may be noted that utmost care is taken so that all the papers are of the same standard. Further, it is decided to adopt the AP ICET 2023 normalization process to eliminate any such variations in the difficulty level of various sessions.

The committee on normalization has deliberated extensively and decided to use the following AP ICET 2023 normalization process:

• SMS: (Average + Standard Deviation) of the session in which the candidate belongs to

• GMS: (Average + Standard Deviation) of all the candidates across all sessions together

• Top Average Session: Average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the session in which the candidate belongs to

• Top Average Global: Average marks of the top 0.1% of all the candidates across all sessions together

Note:For the candidates for whom there is no qualifying cut off in APICET 2023, if the marks in AP ICET 2023 after normalization go below zero (negative), the total marks are treated as zero and the ranks are assigned based on those marks. If tie persists, then AP ICET 2023 normalization marks will be considered for breaking the tie.

AP ICET 2023 Results: Tie-Breaking Criteria

During the preparation of the APICET 2023 merit list, if more than one student scores the same marks at APICET, the tie will be resolved by the following method:

• The candidate with the higher marks in Section A of the AP ICET question paper will receive the higher rank.

• If there is a tie, marks obtained by a student in Section B will be taken into consideration.

• If the tie persists, the tie will be resolved by taking into account the age of the candidate. The older candidate will be awarded the higher rank. 

AP ICET Results 2023: Re-evaluation Process

If any details on the AP ICET Results/Rank Card are wrong or missing, candidates have the privilege to apply for re-evaluation of their results by paying a fee of INR 1000. In the case of any such discrepancies, candidates must contact the officials as soon as possible. It is mandatory for the candidates to submit the application and fee within 15 days of the declaration of the AP ICET results 2023. Candidates must submit the fee as a Demand Draft drawn in favor of the Convener, APICET – 2023, payable at Sri Krishnadevaraya University on any nationalized Bank. 

AP ICET Results 2023: Qualifying Criteria

To be able to participate in AP ICET 2023 counselling, candidates need to meet the qualifying cutoff set by the APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education). Check the qualifying cutoff for different categories below.

• APICET results 2023 will be available in the form of rank cards.
• General Category candidates must score at least 25% which is a minimum of 50 marks out of the total qualifying marks, i.e. 200.
• There is no minimum qualifying percentage of marks to clear the exam for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories. The concession in the qualifying criteria is only applicable to the candidates belonging to the reserved category.
• Candidates receive state-wide ranks in the order of merit by APSCHE.
• The average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the session to which the candidate belongs have been considered.
• For overall ranking, the average marks of the top 0.1% of all the candidates across all sessions together are considered.
• A tie-breaking system is to be implemented by taking Section A, and Section B marks and the age of the candidates in the same sequence.
• The merit rank that will be obtained by candidates in AP ICET 2023 will be valid for admission in the academic year 2023-25 at colleges located in Andhra Pradesh.
• All disputes arising out of any matter concerning APICET-2023 shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of AP, Amaravati only, in such disputes, only the Convener, APICET 2023, and the Secretary, APSCHE can be impleaded as respondents.

AP ICET Cut off 2023

Only the candidates who clear the AP ICET cutoff are considered eligible to take part in the counselling process. The cutoff to be eligible for AP ICET counselling is 25% of the maximum marks in the exam i.e. candidates have to score a minimum of 50 marks out of 200 to be eligible for the counselling.

Web Admission Counselling (WAC) is conducted for qualified candidates for the AP ICET examination after the announcement of the result. AP ICET 2023 counselling process will begin in the second week of July 2023.
