CBSE Class 12 Geography Weightage 2026 is now released. The curriculum comprises a total of 8 units, divided into two parts. The theory paper will be assessed for 70 marks, and 30 marks are allotted for the practical component.

CBSE Class 12 Geography Weightage 2026 : The geography subject is divided into two parts, the first part of the curriculum is Fundamentals of Human Geography with a total of 3 units, followed by the second part, which is India People and Economy with 5 units. A total of 17 chapters are included in the CBSE Class 12 Geography Syllabus 2025-26 from both parts. The theory paper will be conducted for 70 marks, with 30 marks provided for the practical exam. CBSE Class 12 Geography Question Paper Blueprint 2026

  • The Geography Question paper will consist of 30 questions.
  • It is compulsory to answer every question.
  • Section A consists of questions from 1 to 17, which are multiple-choice type questions carrying 1 mark each.
  • Section B consists of questions 18 and 19, which are source-based questions carrying 3 marks each.
  • Section C consists of questions from 20 to 23, which are short-answer type questions carrying 3 marks each. The answer to these questions shall be written in 80 to 100 words.
  • Section D consists of questions from 24 to 28, which are Long Answer type questions carrying 5 marks each. The answer to these questions shall be written in 120 to 150 words.
  • Section E consists of questions 29 and 30 are map-based questions carrying 5 marks each
