A large number of students are appearing for the 2023 CUET English paper for the academic year 2023-24. CUET English Syllabus 2023

The English subject is covered under Language Section IA and the subject code is 101.  Section IA has 13 different languages including English. Candidates are advised to check CUET Syllabus 2023 before appearing for the exam.

The CUET English paper will have questions from:

• Reading Comprehension (Factual, Narrative, and Literary)
• Verbal Ability
• Rearranging the parts 
• Choosing the correct word 
• Synonyms and Antonyms
• Vocabulary 

Note: Reading Comprehension will consist of different passages with around 300-350 words max. 

CUET English Exam Pattern 2023

Candidates preparing for the CUET English Paper must check the exam pattern of CUET English in order to be familiar with the structure of the question paper. Questions will be asked as MCQs. Provided below in the table is the CUET English Exam Pattern 2023.

CUET 2023 English Marking Scheme

Each English paper question in CUET will carry five (5) marks and for each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one (1) mark. Candidates must note that the CUET (earlier known as CUCET) will have Section 1A, Section 1B, General Test and domain-specific subjects.

Difficulty Level of CUET English Paper 2023

If we were to do the CUET 2022 exam analysis, the difficulty level was moderate. With more universities participating in CUET 2023, you can expect the difficulty level to be between moderate and difficult.
