There will be 13 languages in Section 1, 23 domain subjects in Section 2, and a general test in Section 3. Remember, general test scores will carry weightage for discontinued subjects as mentioned in the latest CUET 2026 Exam Pattern. Students can now register in up to five subjects instead of the previous six. No matter what they learned in class 12, students can choose from any CUET course. Students can begin studying for the boards exam and CUET UG at the same time.
CUET 2026 exam will be divided into three parts, each with objective-type Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). CUET question paper will be in English, and students will be able to choose from 12 regional languages. CUET total marks for students taking CUET UG 2026 are 250, according to the most recent CUET 2026 exam pattern. CUET UG has a total of 50 questions across all test papers. CUET marking scheme 2026 remains the same as in previous years, with students receiving 5 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark deducted for each incorrect response.

This section is compulsory for all candidates as per CUET UG exam pattern 2026. Candidates can choose their preferred language from a list of 13 Indian languages in Section 1A and 20 languages in Section 1B (a mix of regional Indian languages and foreign languages).
