The Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) is held every year by SID Pune for shortlisting candidates for the course of Bachelor of Design (B.Des). SEED is among the most popular design entrance exams in India and is one of the four entrance exams that are conducted under SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test). Every year, thousands of students aspiring to pursue a career in design appear for the entrance exam.

This year, the SEED 2022 application form was released on October 25, 2021. The deadline to apply for SEED 2022 has been extended from January 24 to January 25, 2022 and the exam will be held on February 13, 2022. The conducting body, Symbiosis Institute of Design SID), will conduct a written test, portfolio evaluation and personal interview to shortlist the deserving candidates. Here are all the documents that will be needed while filling the Symbiosis B.Des 2022 application form. Some of these will have to be scanned and uploaded while the others will be required for reference to fill the form.

Photograph and Signature Dimensions for SEED 2022 Application Form

The candidates applying for B.Des admission at SID for the academic year 2022 will have to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature in the form. SID Pune has set certain parameters for uploading these documents so as to avoid technical glitches and maintain uniformity across all applications. The table given below provides the details of uploading the photo and signature on the SID B.Des application form.

Instructions for Uploading Documents on SEED 2022 Application Form

All applicants must follow the instructions given below while uploading their scanned documents to the Symbiosis B.Des 2022 application form.

For the Photograph:

• The photograph must only be passport-sized.
• It is mandatory for the photo to be recent and it should not be taken more than 3 months before.
• It is compulsory for the photo to be taken against a white or light coloured background.
• Candidates wearing spectacles must ensure that there are no reflections on the lenses and their eyes are clearly visible.
• It is not allowed to wear any informal ornament like a hat, cap, sunglasses, etc. in the photo.
• Religious headwear is allowed as long as it does not cover the applicant's face.

For the Signature:

• The applicant must put his/ her signature in black ink on white paper and then scan it for uploading.
• Only the signed area has to be scanned and not the entire paper.
• The paper must be blank and wrinkle-free and it should not have any lines.
• The signature uploaded by the applicant will be mentioned on their admit card.
• The uploaded signature must match the candidate's signature in further rounds of the exam and admission process.
