a) Students must have passed a higher secondary exam or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising PCB (which shall include practical tests in the aforementioned subjects) and with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the NCERT after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
b) The applicant must have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually. Further, students belonging to Unreserved / EWS categories must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination.
c) Candidates belonging to the SC/ST or Other Backward Classes must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the subjects of PCB taken together in the qualifying examination.
d) For PwBD candidates in Unreserved / Economically Weaker Sections categories, the minimum marks in PCB taken together in the qualifying examination is 45%.
