Pass marks for IIT JAM 2025 are expected to range between 11-44 for General category candidates, 10-40 for OBC-NCL/EWS candidates, and 5-22 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. To be eligible for admission, candidates only need to qualify for the exam. Previously, in 2021, general category candidates needed to score at least 55 percent, while other categories required a minimum of 50 percent to clear the cut-off. However, this requirement has been relaxed, and now, qualifying in IIT JAM 2025 exam is sufficient for enrollment in the courses. IIT JAM 2025 will be conducted on February 02, 2025 , in two sessions.

Pass Marks for IIT JAM 2025

The pass marks for IIT JAM 2025 are divided into two main categories:

  • Qualifying Marks: These are the minimum marks required for a candidate to qualify for admission to IITs and other participating institutes. The qualifying marks vary based on the candidate's category (General, OBC-NCL/EWS, SC/ST/PwD).
  • Admission Ranks: Based on IIT JAM 2025 scores, candidates are assigned All India Ranks (AIR) for each subject. Admission to various institutes and programs is based on these ranks and the options selected by the candidate in the admission form.

IIT JAM 2025 cutoff will be released on the official IIT JAM website at jam.iitm.ac.in after the results are announced.
