IIT JAM cutoff 2026 will be released by IIT Bombay soon after the results are announced. The cutoff will be available in PDF format and can be accessed by all students without the need for login. IIT JAM 2026 cutoff will be announced separately for all seven test papers, and it will also vary depending on the category of the candidate. The cutoff for IIT JAM 2026 will be divided into two types, the qualifying cutoff marks and the admission cutoff which includes opening and closing ranks. The qualifying cutoff shows the minimum score required to pass the exam, while the admission cutoff is higher and used for the counselling and seat allotment process.
The cutoff list is prepared based on factors such as the number of seats available, the difficulty level of the exam, and previous years’ cutoff trends. Only students who meet IIT JAM cutoff 2026 will be eligible to participate in IIT JAM counselling 2026, where seats will be allotted according to the IIT JAM result and the choices filled in the admission form.

For the 2026-27 academic session, the Economics subject is expected to have the highest IIT JAM 2026 cutoff, ranging from 43.5 TO 45.5 for the General category, based on the previous years' trends.
The expected cutoff for IIT JAM 2026 Mathematics for the General category will be somewhere between 9.0 and 10.0.
