The Osmania University conducts the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) every year. TS LAWCET is accepted by many law colleges in Telangana for shortlisting candidates for their 3 years and 5 years law programmes. Admission to the Bachelor of Law (LL.B) course and some popular integrated law courses is provided through TS LAWCET.

TS LAWCET 2020 is scheduled for October 4, 2020. This article contains all the information regarding the merit list and cut off marks of TS LAWCET 2020.

TS LAWCET 2020 Cut Off

The cut off score of TS LAWCET 2020 will be announced on the official website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. The cut off will be out soon after the results of TS LAWCET 2020 have been declared. The candidates who clear the cut off will be allowed to attend the counselling process and they will be considered for admission. The cut off scores of all the participating colleges of TS LAWCET 2020 vary from each other.

Factors Determining TS LAWCET 2020 Cut Off

Several factors are considered by the authorities while determining the cut off criteria of each college. The list is as follows:

  • Total number of seats available
  • Preference of college and course filled by the candidate
  • The category of the candidate
  • Total candidates who applied for the exam
  • Total candidates who qualified the exam
  • The difficulty level of the exam
  • Previous year cut off trends
  • Vacancy of seats

Different cut off lists are released for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

TS LAWCET 2020 Merit List

The merit list of TS LAWCET 2020 will be released on the official website of TSCHE. Each college will release a different merit list for admission to 3 year LLB and 5 year LLB. Further, separate merit lists will be published for the general category candidates and the students who fall under any reserved category.

Candidates will have to register for the TS LAWCET 2020 counselling process, after which they may or may not feature in the merit list of TS LAWCET 2020. In the counselling process, they will be required to upload the necessary documents for verification. This year, the document verification process of TS LAWCET 2020 will be done in the online mode so as to follow the social distancing norms in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The applicants will further have to complete the choice filling process of TS LAWCET 2020 in which they will have to list their preferences of colleges and courses for admission. They will be allowed to select only those colleges whose cut off criteria they clear. The TS LAWCET 2020 merit list will be released after all the procedures are over and it will mention the names of candidates who have been selected for admission.
