As far as sports facilities are concerned, the campus is bestowed by all major sports facilities. There is a separate football field, cricket ground, boxing ring, and taekwondo for interested students. Apart from these, there are separate areas for all major sports, athletics etc. The B.P.Ed/ M.P.Ed and other physical education students of LPU host several sports events/ competitions on the campus.
As LPU has students from various states and countries, cultural events play a vital role. LPU has one of the largest indoor auditoriums in the country – Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium for various official, academic, and cultural activities. The Open Air Theatre at LPU is one of the favourite spots for students to hang out during non-academic hours. Baldev Raj Mittal auditorium is the third spot at LPU for hosting formal and informal events.
Recreation facilities at LPU are top notch. The campus has a Roller Skating Rink that is often busy during exam breaks. The Snooker Longue, In-House Bowing Complex and Fitness Edge offer required entertainment to students so that they are relieved from exam/ academic stress.
Apart from the above, University Mall and Cafe Coffee Day are the other top recreation spots on the campus. Students can buy the required things from university mall. For banking, students need not go out of the campus, as LPU has 5 banks and 55 ATMs on its campus.
LPU has more than 300 food kiosks that cook unique varieties of food for minimal costs. African Food Cafe is one of the major highlights while there is a specific sweets store that offers all kinds of Punjabi sweets.
LPU has fully secured student residence facility. The separate hotel facility is provided to boys and girls. The hostels are offered to students on a sharing basis (two or three mostly) and single basis (as per the needs of students subject to availability). The fees for different categories of hostel facility will be different. The hostel has all the facilities such as convenience store, hospital, and in-house laundry. Students can use bicycles for an easy commute on the campus.
The University offers the largest residential capacity in world within the campus, separately for boys and girls. IMPORTANT NOTE 1) Residential Facilities are generally allotted for one full Academic Session (i.e. approx. 10 months excluding vacations). However residential facility for 12 months may be allocated on special request of the student at extra cost. Whenever a residential facility is offered for one calendar year, students will have to shift the room/hostel building during vacations. 2) Residential facility for lesser duration i.e. One semester or Even a Term (with vacations) may be allotted only in the following cases: a) New admissions in a program of 6 months (or lesser duration) e.g. ELP, Ph.D. - Part-Time candidate (for Course Work) 3) Dormitory room may not be offered for International Applicants. 4) Hostel residents are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Steamer, Laptop, mobile charger, shaving set, trimmer, hair straightener and hairdryer. Extra electricity bill due to the usage of these electrical items will be borne by the respective residents. 5) For apartment rooms with a pantry, students may also use induction plates for cooking food in addition to gadgets mentioned in Point no. 4. 6) Usage of LPG , Kerosene or other oil/gases are strictly prohibited. 7) Regarding Indoor Stadium Membership, all the consumable and game relevant sports kit has to be brought by the student themself. e.g. swimming costume, squash racket, badminton racket, pistol etc. |

The campus of LPU is spread over a total area of about 600 acres.
Three kinds of accommodation are offered at LPU - Apartments, Standard Rooms, and Dormitories. The fees for each hostel differs from others. The hostel fee also depends on if the room is a single seater, double seater, triple seater, or quadruple seater. The apartments cost in the range of Rs. 1,68,00 to Rs. 78,000 per annum. Students staying in standard rooms can choose between an air conditioned room and a non air conditioned room, the fee of the former being more. These rooms start from Rs. 1,08,000 per annum and the minimum fee for these rooms is Rs. 54,000 annually. Dormitories cost between Rs. 44,000 to Rs. 34,000 on an annual basis.

The Jalandhar City Railway Station is at a distance of about 19 kilometres from the LPU campus. It takes approximately 25 minutes to reach the campus from the station by road.
