US colleges are now recommending students to get booster shots as it has been found that triple shots are effective in reducing the effects of the virus.
Universities mandating full vaccination require students to be fully vaccinated and show certificates so that they can be allowed on campus. Some have also declared deadlines on which non-vaccinated students shall be delisted from the university. The top 25 universities included in the list are Harvard, MIT, Cornell and Stanford.

On the other hand, US universities that have made triple vaccination mandatory require students to get booster shots before they can be allowed to enter the campus. Universities including Brown University, Carnegie Mellon University, Columbia University, Dartmouth College, Georgetown University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York University, Syracuse University, University of Delaware, University of Michigan, University of Oregon and Yale University feature in the list.
There is no compulsion to get fully vaccinated and students are being accepted even if they refuse to get primary vaccination shots. These universities are aiming to reduce misinformation through prizes and awards and awareness campaigns. Montana State University and the University of Connecticut are among those who are trying to create better awareness and motivation for vaccination.
Those recommending booster shots are universities that are asking students to get booster shots as soon as possible. Many universities have also created camps within the campus so that staff and students can get their booster shots within the campus and also solve their immediate problems. This also helps in continuing their classes without much disturbance. University of California, Berkeley is one such university.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended all fully-vaccinated individuals to get their booster shots. Additionally, vaccines are free for everyone in the US, insurance status has been ignored for the purpose of Covid-19 vaccinations and international students are required to be fully vaccinated before entering the country.
