AIFD WAT 2022 is scheduled to be held on May 29, 2022 and the application form has been released online. Candidates need to fill-up the application form of AIFD WAT before the final date prescribed by the conducting body expires. Army Institute of Fashion & Design , popularly known as AIFD, conducts entrance exams for the admission of candidates to design courses. Established in 2004, AIFD is one of the most popular design institutes in the country that imparts quality education in the field of Design and Fashion. AIFD Bangalore conducts AIFD OAT/ WAT for UG programmes every year.

Last year, AIFD was offering both B.Sc & M.Sc courses but this year the institute is not providing admission for the M.Sc programme. Instead of M.Sc in Fashion & Apparel Design, the educational institute is offering admission in B.Sc Fashion & Apparel Design (B.Sc FAD) and B.Sc Interior Design & Decoration (B.Sc IDD) programmes.

The AIFD Application forms are released online for the undergraduate course, i.e. B.Sc FAD & B.Sc IDD. Candidates are required to fill and submit the form before the last date ends. The three-year UG course in Fashion and Apparel Design is affiliated with Bangalore North University. Application Process for B.Sc FDD & B.Sc IDD Courses

The application process for the year 2022 for the AIFD Bangalore UG course has commenced. Follow the below-mentioned steps to apply:

• Visit the official website of AIFD.

• Click on "UG Admission Application for 2022-2023".

• Click on "New Registration" and register yourself by putting in details like Full Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, Mobile Number, Gender and Marital Status.

• Log in and submit the online application form after paying the registration fee online.

• Three choices for the examination centre shall be included in the online form.

AIFD Bangalore Eligibility Criteria 2022

Provided below are the AIFD Eligibility Criteria for UG programmes offered at the institute:

Educational Qualification for B.Sc (FAD) & B.Sc (IDD):

• Candidate must have passed 10+2 with the same combination of subjects recognized by UGC/University.

• The candidate must have obtained not less than 35% marks in aggregate.

• Candidates who have passed their 12th examination as regular candidate shall only be eligible for the B.Sc course.

• Candidates who have passed 10+2 through the Distance Education System or the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) must have the same combination of subjects in the 11th and 12th standard.

Admission to the UG course shall be for the children of eligible serving Army personnel, eligible ex-Army personnel and children of widows of the Army/war widows. The applicants must belong to any of the following categories:

1. Children of serving Army personnel with not less than 10 years of continuous service in the Army.

2. Children of ex-Army personnel awarded/granted a regular pension, family pension or disability pension, liberalised family pension at the time of superannuation, demise, release medical board/invalid medical board, discharge.

3. Adopted child of Army personnel in case of adoption at least 5 years before seeking admission.

4. Eligible stepchildren who are born from a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army.

5. Children of ex-Army medical officers/Army Dental Corps officers presently serving with Indian Air Force/Indian Navy who has worked with the Army for 10 years.

6. Wards of APS personnel, recognised as ex-servicemen according to the Government of India, Ministry of Defence.

7. Wards of APS personnel on deportation and who have served the Army for 10 years.

8. Children of APS personnel who have served APS for 10 years and those who have retired from APS without reversion to P&T Department after completion of their minimum pensionable service of 10 years in the Army.

9. Wards of MNS members who have 10 years of service as regular members of MNS or are in receipt of a pension from the Army.

10. Wards of only those TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.

11. The candidate must be certified by MH/RMO/Registered Medical Practitioner as mentally and physically fit to pursue the UG course.
