The AILET 2024 cutoff is released after the National Law University of Delhi publishes the AILET result. On December 13, 2023 the AILET 2024 result was published. Before the counselling and the seat allotment process begins, candidates will get to check the cutoff score. The cutoff is the minimum score needed for admission to NLU Delhi’s BA LLB, and LLM courses through the AILET 2024 exam. The cutoff for AILET depends on various factors such as the number of seats offered by the university, the number of test-takers, and the performance of the candidates and category, among other factors. The categories of the candidates on which the AILET cutoff depends are General, SC, ST, PWD, Kashmiri migrants, and Jammu and Kashmir residents. Despite having lower cutoff scores in the exam, those who belong to Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Kashmiri Migrants (KM), and Residents of Jammu and Kashmir categories have better have of getting admitted to NLU Delhi.
Candidates should be aware of the anticipated cutoffs for the AILET 2024 UG and PG exams. The AILET 2024 merit list will then be created by NLU Delhi based on the outcome and cutoff for the exam.
AILET 2024 aspirants must know a few things related to the cutoff which are stated below:
- AILET cutoff is declared separately for different categories of applicants, i.e. General, SC, ST, PWD, and Kashmiri Migrants/ Foreign Category.
- The cut-off depends on a lot of factors like the total number of applicants, the total number of seats available, the difficulty level of AILET, the applicant’s performance, and the category of the candidate.
- AILET cutoff is the minimum benchmark score needed for the applicants to get shortlisted for different law programs offered by NLU Delhi.
- Applicants must remember that they need to score above the expected AILET cutoff to be eligible for admission to law courses at NLU Delhi.
What is a Good Score in AILET 2024? - Expected Cut-Off Marks
Based on the analysis of the previous year's AILET, the exam was challenging, resulting in relatively low cut-offs, approximately at 71 marks. This year, the AILET cutoffs are anticipated to vary, influenced by the aforementioned factors. To enhance the likelihood of gaining admission to NLU Delhi, aiming for a high score is advisable. Over the past three years, the cut-off has fluctuated between 71 and 100 marks, so students should aim for 100 marks to maximize their admission prospects.

Factors Affecting AILET 2024 Cutoff
The AILET cutoffs vary on certain conditions. Take a look at the factors determining the AILET 2024 cutoff.
- Number of students appearing for the exam: If the number of students appearing for AILET 2024 is more than in previous years, then the cutoff will definitely rise.
- Difficulty level of the AILET question paper: A part of the AILET cutoff depends on the difficulty level of the question paper. If the question paper is tough then the cutoff will be lower and a moderate to easy question paper will lead to a rise in the cutoff scores.
- Performance of the candidates: The average performance of the candidates will also affect the cutoff. If most of the candidates perform well in the entrance examination then the chances of a high cutoff are more and vice-versa.
- Total available seats for BA LL.B/ LL.M course: In NLU Delhi there is a limited number of seats available for BA LLB and LLM courses. So, usually, the cutoff is high as the number of seats available is limited.
- Category of candidates: As mentioned above, the cutoff for students belonging to reserved categories like SC, ST, PwD, Kashmiri Migrants, and Residents of Jammu and Kashmir is comparatively lower than the General or Open category candidates.
AILET Previous Year Question Paper Difficulty Level
Candidates must go through the question paper trends of previous years to have a fair idea of the question pattern for the AILET 2024 examination. Checking the previous years’ cutoffs has given students a fair idea of the difficulty level of the exam and estimated the expected cutoff for AILET 2024.
According to the previous years’ test takers and the exam experts, the General Knowledge and Current Affairs section of AILET was mostly straightforward while the English Language section was fairly moderate to attempt. The Logical Reasoning section, according to the students, was easy to moderate.
The exam authority has eliminated two sections that were previously included in the exam - Elementary Mathematics and Legal Aptitude. However, AILET 2024 aspirants can expect a few basic questions on Legal principles in the Logical Reasoning section.
How to Clear AILET 2024 Cutoff?
Students must prepare a proper strategy for clearing the AILET 2024 cutoff. Students must be well versed with the AILET syllabus and exam pattern to ensure that they are fully prepared for the test. Since students get a chance to join NLU Delhi only after clearing the AILET cutoff, the competition is higher as compared to the CLAT exam. However, in order to clear the cutoff and get good marks, students must be well prepared. Some tips for clearing the AILET 2024 cutoff are given below:
- Make a Study Plan: Students must make a study plan and dedicate their time to preparing for the AILET examination. It is very important for the students to get a good score and not just clear the cutoff.
- Practice Mock Tests: Attempt the AILET test series daily and analyze your exam preparation. Keep track of your mock test score so that you prepare accordingly and do well in the next mock test. Practice is the key to achieving a good score in the entrance exam.
