CAT Predicted Question Paper 2020

CAT 2020 will be conducted on 29th November 2020 in two shifts. The exam will be conducted in three sessions. The admit card and application form of CAT 2020 will be uploaded on the official website as per the schedule. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of CAT to know all the important details of the CAT exam. 

The structure of the CAT 2020 question paper will be the same as that of the previous years’ examination since no changes are made in the exam pattern. The CAT question paper will be divided into three sections namely Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. Candidates can refer to the previous years’ questions paper as well as mock test papers of CAT in order to get an idea about the kind of questions they can expect in the exam. Apart from the Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension section, questions in all the other sections are not fixed. Candidates can expect questions from any topic. Difficulty Level of CAT 2020 Exam

Since the difficulty level of the CAT examination is very high, candidates should prepare well in order to crack the examination. They should focus on each and every topic mentioned in the syllabus of CAT examination. Besides this, they can also refer to the previous years’ question paper to know the difficulty level of the examination. The table provided below will help you know the difficulty level of each section separately.

Changes in CAT 2020 Exam Pattern

As per the new exam pattern of CAT 2020, you will have 2 hours to complete the exam. The sessional limit for each section is 40 minutes(earlier it was 60 minutes). Around 34 questions will be asked in the Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, 32 in the Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and 34 in the Quantitative Ability. The marking scheme will also remain the same for all the sections.

Note: Candidates belonging from PwD candidates will get 20 minutes more for each section i.e they will get an extra one hour to finish the CAT examination.

Marks Distribution of CAT QA Section 2020

Around 10-11 questions are expected to be covered from the Arithmetic section. Candidates can check the expected marks distribution of the Quantitative Section of CAT 2020 examination here.

Marks Distribution of CAT VARC Section 2020

Since there is no major change in the VARC section, 24 questions will be covered in the form of 4-5 Reading Comprehension while the remaining part will be divided into verbal ability questions.

Marks Distribution of CAT DI LR Section 2020

Marks Distribution in Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning section is not fixed. Candidates may expect 4-5 questions from Venn Diagram and 6-7 from Data Interpretation.

What's New in CAT 2020?

CAT 2020 is conducted in online mode (computer-based examination). There are some important things that the candidates should keep in mind while filling the application form of CAT 2020. Let's take a look at what's new in CAT 2020.

  • The CAT application fee for the general category has increased to INR 2000 while the application fee for reserved category candidates has increased to INR 1000.

  • Candidates may now choose 6 exam centres instead of 4 exam centres. The final exam centre will be allotted by IIMs.

  • Candidates belonging from NCR may choose among the Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad, Greater Noida, Rohtak, New Delhi, Panipat, Gurugram and Meerut. All these cities were earlier clubbed as one city.

You have to submit any available certificates with the CAT 2020 undertaking. However, CAT 2020 exam dates have now been revised and the deadline to submit the CAT 2020 application form has been extended to 23rd September to help candidates get sufficient time to arrange any certificates.
