CAT Predicted Question Paper 2021

CAT Predicted Question Paper 2022 - ​The structure of the CAT 2022 question paper is expected to be the same as that of the previous year’s examination since no changes have been announced regarding the CAT exam pattern so far. The CAT question paper will be divided into three sections namely Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. Candidates can refer to the CAT previous years’ questions paper as well as mock test papers of CAT in order to get an idea about the kind of questions they can expect in the exam. Apart from this, they can also take help from the CAT 2022 Predicted Question Paper provided on this page. The CAT 2022 Predicted Question Paper is prepared on the basis of reviews of the previous years' toppers as well as Collegedekho experts. 

CAT 2022 will be conducted on 27th November, 2022, in three shifts. The CAT 2022 admit card will be released on 27th October, 2022, and remain accessible till 27th November, 2022. Difficulty Level of CAT 2022

Since the difficulty level of the CAT examination is very high, candidates should prepare well in order to crack the examination. They should focus on each and every topic mentioned in the  CAT syllabus. Besides this, they can also refer to the previous years’ question paper to know the difficulty level of the examination. The table provided below will help you know the difficulty level of each section separately.

Changes in CAT Exam Pattern Since 2021

The following changes have been made to the CAT exam pattern since 2021:

  • Non-MCQs do not incur negative marking. Questions without negative marking (Non-MCQs) will comprise 25 to 30% of the CAT question paper. 
  • Starting with VARC, the sections' order is fixed. Candidates will be unable to change sections.
  • The three slots for the CAT exam will likely be Slot 1 (8.30 am to 10.30 am), Slot 2 (12.30 pm to 2.30 pm), and Slot 3. (4.30 pm to 6.30 pm).
  • In the past, there were 100 total questions and 300 total marks in the CAT exam. However, in 2020, there were only 76 questions, and there were 228 total points. The number of questions was further decreased in 2021 to 66.
  • During the exam, a calculator will be available on-screen.
  • The sectional limit for each section is 40 minutes (until 2019 it was 60 minutes). 
  • Around 34 questions will be asked in the Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, 32 in the Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and 34 in the Quantitative Ability. 
  • The CAT marking scheme will remain the same for all the sections. Score awarded for each correct answer is +3 marks. 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong response in the MCQ section.

Note: Candidates belonging to PwD candidates will get 20 minutes more for each section i.e they will get an extra one hour to finish the CAT examination.

Marks Distribution of CAT 2022 QA Section

Around 10-14 questions are expected to be covered from the Arithmetic section. Candidates can check the expected marks distribution of the Quantitative Section of CAT 2022 examination here.

Marks Distribution of CAT 2022 VARC Section

Since there is no major change in the VARC section, 22-24 questions will be covered in the form of 4-5 Reading Comprehension while the remaining part will be divided into verbal ability questions.

Marks Distribution of CAT 2022 DI LR Section

Marks Distribution in the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning section is not fixed. Candidates may expect 4-5 questions from Venn Diagram and 6-7 from Data Interpretation.
