CAT Predicted Question Paper 2024

The predicted CAT 2024 question paper will help candidates understand the important questions and topics they should focus on to crack the CAT 2024 exam. The question paper will be divided into three sections, namely Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability as usual. There will be 66 objective-type questions (MCQ and TITA) that must be solved within 120 minutes. There will be a time limit of 40 minutes per section. The total marks of the paper will be 198. Questions will be both MCQ and non-MCQ, and 4 answer options will be provided for each question. CAT previous year question papers and mock tests may also provide detailed insights into the CAT 2024 expected questions .

Expected Difficulty Level of CAT 2024

Since the difficulty level of the CAT question paper 2024 is expected to be very high, candidates should prepare well to crack the examination. They should focus on every topic mentioned in the CAT syllabus 2024 . Besides this, they can also refer to the previous years’ question paper to know the difficulty level of the examination. Changes in CAT Exam Pattern Since 2021

No major changes are expected to be made in the CAT 2024 question paper. The following changes have been made to the CAT exam pattern since 2021:

  • Non-MCQs do not incur negative markings. Questions without negative markings (Non-MCQs) will comprise 25 to 30% of the CAT question paper.

  • Starting with VARC, the sections' order is fixed. Candidates will be unable to change sections.

  • The three slots for the CAT exam will likely be Slot 1 (8.30 am to 10.30 am), Slot 2 (12.30 pm to 2.30 pm), and Slot 3. (4.30 pm to 6.30 pm).

  • In the past, there were 100 total questions and 300 total marks in the CAT exam. However, in 2020, there were only 76 questions, and there were 228 total points. The number of questions further decreased in 2021 to 66.

  • During the exam, a calculator will be available on-screen.

  • The sectional limit for each section is 40 minutes (until 2019 it was 60 minutes).

  • Around 34 questions will be asked in the Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, 32 in Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and 34 in the Quantitative Ability.

  • The CAT exam pattern 2024 will remain the same for all the sections. The score awarded for each correct answer is +3 marks. 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong response in the MCQ section.
