Has there been any change in the CLAT 2024 exam pattern?

Yes, the Consortium of the NLUs has changed the exam pattern of CLAT 2024. The exam pattern of CLAT 2024 comprises the total number of questions, total marks, time duration, marking scheme, the number of questions section-wise, exam timing, etc. The questions have been reduced in the UG exam to 120 instead of 150. 

How is the CLAT exam conducted?

Candidates appearing for CLAT 2024 must note that the mode of the examination is offline, pen-paper/ centre-based. The exam will be conducted by the Consortium of the NLUs (National Law Universities). The exam is conducted for a duration of 2 hours. 

What is the marking scheme of the CLAT 2024 exam?

The marking scheme of the CLAT 2024 exam remains unchanged. For every correct answer to the multiple-choice questions, students will be awarded one mark. For wrong answers, -0.25 marks will be deducted. The questions that will remain unanswered or unattempted will be considered 0.

How many papers are there in the CLAT 2024 exam?

CLAT 2024 consists of a single question paper consisting of 120 questions divided into five sections as per the weight assigned to each. In CLAT General knowledge and legal reasoning have the highest weight at 25%, English and logical reasoning have a weight of 20% each, while quantitative techniques have a 10% weight.

Hello Sakshi,

To secure admission to the B.A LLB programme at Swami Vivekananda Law College, you must have passed 10+2 with at least 45% marks (SC/ ST category candidates - 40%). The programme is 5 years long and divided into 10 semesters. It has an intake of 120 students. The programme is affiliated to CCS University, Meerut and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
