Note: Application fees do not include service charges and GST. These are charged extra by the bank/ payment gateway.

Example: A general category student chooses three test papers. They’ll pay INR 1,400 as a base. INR 700 will be for the third paper. So, the total will be INR 2,100. The applicable bank charges and GST will be extra.

Timing for Fee Payment

Pay the fees within the CUET PG 2026 application window. It is generally from when the registration opens until the last date of the fee receipt. The deadline to apply, submit and pay fee is January 20, 2026 (up to 23:50 IST).

What if you Don’t Pay by the Deadline?

• Your form submission will remain incomplete.
• You lose eligibility for that exam cycle.
• You won’t get extended payment deadlines by NTA in an individual case.

Official Fee Payment Process

1. Register on the CUET PG portal.
2. Note your application number.
3. Log in with your credentials.
4. Complete the form details.
5. Go to the fee payment section.
6. Fill in all the compulsory fields.
7. Choose the payment mode you prefer.
8. Enter the card/bank/UPI details.
9. Confirm the amount.
10. Download the confirmation page after successful payment.
11. It is your proof of submission.
12. Don’t send hard copies of payment documents to NTA.

Convenience Fees & GST

Payment gateway charges, goods and services tax, and bank processing fees are not included in the application fee. Pay them extra while paying. The bank/ service providers set these charges.

Always Save the Confirmation Page

It is your only official proof that NTA has received and accepted your application. Your application will be seen as incomplete, you won’t get to download the admit card, and you might get excluded from attendance on the exam day without it. So, save it as a PDF on your device. You can also get a hard copy of it printed. A screenshot backup is an extra measure.

Importance of Correct Details Before Payment

The data entered during registration is final. It cannot be edited later outside the correction window. So, a mistake can cause mismatches later. You need to review personal details, category, and paper choices before fee payment. If you pay before correcting errors, the form may need a correction later (with possible additional charges if applicable).

Payment Declined or Timeout

• Poor internet
• Session timeout

• Use a stable network
• Clear your cache
• Re-login before re-trying
• Complete the payment in one go to avoid session expiration

Confirmation Page No Generated

• Payment failed
• Gateway glitch

• Check the bank statement for deduction
• Wait 24- 48 hours if the amount is deducted, but no confirmation is given, so the portal can update automatically
• Connect with the bank’s payment gateway helpdesk with transaction details if nothing happens

Double or Duplicate Payment

Clicking the pay button multiple times

• Wait for the auto status update before retrying
• Go to the bank or payment gateway for a refund of duplicate payments, with transaction details if the deduction has happened

Bank Declines the Transaction

• Insufficient balance
• Wrong details
• No card limit left

• Check balances and limits beforehand
• Try another card or bank
• Switch to UPI, netbanking, or other modes

No Receipt on Email/ SMS

• Incorrect contact details
• Server delays

• Log in to the portal
• Re-download the confirmation page
• Enter the correct mobile and email before payment
