DEED Application Process 2022

DEED Eligibility Criteria 2022

• The applicant must have completed academic education up to class 12th (higher secondary level).
• The school from which the student obtains his/ her class 12th degree must be recognised by any state or central board of education.
• Students from all streams and disciplines can apply for BDes admissions at DJ Academy of Design.
• It is mandatory for the applicant to have scored passing marks in all the exams that he/ she has at the 10 + 2 level.
• The age of the candidate must not be over 23 years as on June 30th of the year in which he/ she seeks admission.

DEED MDes Eligibility Criteria 2022

• The candidate has to complete his/ her undergraduate degree in order to get admission to M.Des.
• It is essential that the student secures his/ her bachelor’s degree from a university that is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• If a candidate has completed a full-time diploma in Design/ Applied Arts/ Fine Arts/ Architecture of a duration of at least 4 years after clearing the higher secondary level in the 10 + 2 system, he/ she can also apply provided the diploma has been obtained from any university or institute that is recognised by the UGC.
• The candidate should be appearing for/ have appeared/ passed his/ her graduation or diploma programme by the month of July in the same year in which he/ she seeks admission.
• The applicant has to score passing marks in all the exams that he/ she undertakes in the qualifying degree.

DEED Selection Process 2022

The selection process of DJ Academy of Design is completed in several rounds. Candidates have to perform well in each round in order to ensure securing a seat in their desired course. The detailed DJAD selection process has been explained in the points listed below.

• In the first round of selection, candidates are shortlisted according to their DEED scores. Those who qualify the cut off are called for further rounds of admission.
• The selected applicants are required to appear for the round of personal interview at the DJ Academy of Design.
• Once the candidates qualify the interview round, they will have to present a portfolio of their work to the panel of the institute’s selection jury.
• DJ Academy of Design also accepts the scores of CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design) for its MDes admissions.
• The final selection of candidates is done after the selection committee analyses their performance in each round. Every round is given some weightage which determines if the student will get final admission or not.

The entrance exam of DEED is conducted only in some metropolitan cities throughout the country. DEED 2022 Syllabus

The students can take admission to BDes and MDes courses for the year 2022 through personal interviews as the same has been decided to be the eligibility criteria.  The syllabus for DEED 2022 has yet not been released by the institute for the students but it is expected to be released soon. It is anticipated that in order to assess the design aptitude of the students, However, to assess the design aptitude of the candidates, they may be asked design related questions in the interview. The skills of the candidates will also be checked through art work like sketching and painting, creativity, visualization, and a sense of multi tasking, problem solving and understanding. The candidate’s work portfolio will be asked by the members of the panel of the selection jury during the personal interview.

DEED 2022 Pattern
