Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya UG Admission 2026 through CUET

Admission to undergraduate programmes at Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar is conducted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG), which is organised by the National Testing Agency. For the 2026 admission cycle, candidates must first appear for CUET-UG and obtain a valid score to be considered for admission to different undergraduate programmes offered by the university. Students who have completed their Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board with at least 45% aggregate marks are eligible to apply for most courses, while candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories usually receive a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement. The CUET score plays a crucial role in determining admission since the university prepares merit lists based on the marks obtained in the relevant CUET subject combinations.

Through CUET-UG, students can apply to several undergraduate courses at the university such as B.A. (Bachelor of Arts), B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce), B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts), and other interdisciplinary programmes depending on the subject combinations chosen in the CUET exam. In most cases, candidates are required to appear for one language paper (such as Hindi or English), one relevant domain subject, and the General Test in CUET according to the course requirements. The admission process generally involves registering for CUET, selecting the university and programme preferences, and then participating in the university’s counselling process, where seats are allotted based on CUET scores and merit rankings.
