Jewellery Designing Courses Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Jewellery Designing courses in India have been mentioned below. Students can find the conditions of eligibility for each level of the Jewellery Designing programme.

  • If a candidate seeks admission to an undergraduate course of Jewellery Designing, he/ she has to completed class 12th from a recognised board of education in any stream.
  • For admission to the postgraduate programmes of Jewellery Designing, candidates have to complete a relevant undergraduate degree in design or its equivalent stream from a university that is recognised by the UGC (University Grants Commission).
  • Admission to diploma level courses of Jewellery Designing is given to the candidates who have completed their higher secondary education from a recognised board of education. For a post graduate diploma, candidates are required to have a bachelor's degree as well.
  • The certificate level programmes of Jewellery Designing are open for students who have completed class 10th in the full time mode. In some cases, students might also have to clear class 12th in order to get admission.
  • The applicant must have received passing marks in all the subjects that he/ she has in the qualifying degree. The aggregate marks of the student in the qualifying exam must not be less than 45 per cent to 50 per cent (or an equivalent CGPA).

Jewellery Designing Courses Selection Process

The selection process for all the Jewellery Designing courses in India is carried out usually in two ways. These methods are:

  • Through an Entrance Examination
  • Direct Admission Through Merit

There are certain national, state, and university level design entrance exams in India that are considered for selecting students in most of the design colleges of the nation. Based on the institute shortlisted by the candidate for taking admission, he/ she will have to appear for the exam that is accepted by that particular college for its Jewellery Designing admissions. Some universities or colleges conduct their individual entrance tests for shortlisting students.

In some colleges, admission is given to students on the basis of the marks scored by them in the qualifying examination. This is the direct method of giving admission to candidates after assessing their aggregate scores. The higher the marks of the applicant, the more are his/ her chances of securing a seat.

PhD in Chemistry is a three-year course offered by Sandip University. For admission to PhD Chemistry, the candidate must have a master's degree in chemistry from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks and a GATE score (for GATE qualified candidates) or NET/SET/INSPIRE score (for non-GATE qualified candidates). The application fee is Rs 1000 for the admission form and Rs 1000 for caution money deposit (refundable).
