Kerala University BSc Admission 2025 will be conducted online through a Central Allotment Process(CAP). Registrations can begin in May and conclude by July 2025. Kerala University offers admission to BSc specialisataion through the performance of the applicant in their last qualifying examination. Kerala University has been recognised as one of the oldest most renowned universities in India for nurturing young minds with value-aided education, innovation, and research. Bachelor of Science is a 3-year undergraduate programme pursued by students qualifying 10+2 in PCM or PCB streams. Kerala University BSc Admission 2025 Important Information

For candidates who wish to apply for Kerala University UG Admission some important information is given below:

  • Candidates who are interested in applying for BSc admission in Kerala University would need to register for the same online.
  • After successfully registering for the exam and completing the online registration, the candidate would need to take a printout of the hard copy to keep it  handy for the future.
  • The candidates should note that they need not send the hard copies of the print out of the online application to the Kerala University.
  • Candidates need to preserve the hard copies of the printout of the online application of Kerala University. This needs to be produced at the time of admission with the submission of relevant documents.
  • Candidates who would be availing the status of PWD (Persons with Disability) category would need to specifically mention the same at the time of online registration.
  • Candidates belonging to other reservation categories such as SC/ST/OEC/SEBC would not be able to avail benefits under the BPL reservation category.
  • Below Poverty Line (BPL) reservation would only be applicable for candidates of the general category belonging to the forward communities and those who are economically backward as well.
  • In case of any discrepancy in the application form of the candidate no intimation or memo would be sent to the candidates by post or some other means.
  • However, candidates should note that they would be provided an edit option wherein corrections should be performed in a stipulated period of time after which no corrections or changes would be.
  • The centers of the Kerala University entrance exam would include Trivandrum, Ernakulam, Munnar and Kozhikode.
  • Three optional centers of exams outside the state of Kearal would also be provided, these would include Chennai, Bengaluru and Delhi, subject to availability of candidates.

Kerala University BSc Eligibility Criteria 2025

The eligibility criteria for admission in BSc courses in Kerala University is given below:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India

  • He/ She must have completed Intermediate studies from a recognized board

  • The candidate must have studied Science subjects in Class 12th

  • The minimum percentage accepted for admission is defined by the respective university

Kerala University BSc Application Form 2025

Candidates seeking admission in the BSc course at Kerala University must register online. The step-by-step guidelines to apply are given below:

Step 1 - Visit the UG Application Portal of Kerala University

The UG application portal is activated once the registration process for admission in undergraduate courses in the state of Kerala start. The university gives facilities to students to apply for a maximum of 3 programmes through a single registration of the candidate.

Candidates must visit the website and click the UG application portal to complete the registration process.

Step 2 - Complete the Online Application Form

Once the registration process is complete, candidates must log in to the account by entering the application number and password.

The candidate can now get access to the online application in which he/ she must enter details to complete the application.

The applicant will have to enter personal and academic details. He must also select the desired course and institute in which he wishes to take admission.

The candidate must keep a scanned copy of photographs and signature ready which must be uploaded with the application.

Step 3 - Pay the Application Fees

The candidate must pay for registration. The category-wise application fee is given below:

Step 4 - Take Printout of the Application

After completing the application, the candidate must take the printout of the application for future reference.

There is no need to send the hard copy of the application on the mailing address of the university.

However, the candidate must produce a hard copy of the application and supporting documents at the time of admission.

Instructions for Reserved Candidates

  • Applicants who belong to PwD category should mention the same on the online application form.

  • Only General category candidates who are economically weak are eligible for BPL reservation.

  • The candidate must produce the relevant certificate at the time of admission in support of the reservation claim

Correction in Application

The university sets a timeline within which applicants edit the application if required. No changes will be allowed after the defined time period of application edit.

Kerala University BSc Selection Process 2025

Admission to BSc courses offered at Kerala University is considered on the merit basis. Candidates' performance in the Class 12th or equivalent is considered to prepare the merit list

However, the inclusion of the candidate in the merit list does not guarantee the selection of the candidate for admission.

Final admission depends on so many factors like availability of seats for the respective course, decision of the department, and rules and regulations of authorities for the respective department.

Document Verification

The Head of the Department is responsible to verify original documents at the time of admission. The documents are scrutinized to ensure the correctness of the information in the application.

The department reserves right to deny admission of a candidate in case there is a discrepancy in the information.

Admission of a candidate may also be cancelled in case the candidate does not report to the concerned department on a defined date and time.

Payment of Fees

The candidate is expected to make the initial payment of fees at the time of admission. The amount of admission fees to be paid is defined by the University department.

Kerala University BSc Seat Reservation Policy 2025

Seats are reserved under the University Departments for various UG programmes under mandatory reservation and special reservation.

Mandatory reservation

50% of the total seats are reserved for admission on merit basis, 20% of seats are reserved for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) candidates, 10% are reserved for economically backward communities (BPL), and rest 20% seats are reserved for SC/ ST category candidates

Special Reservation

Special reservations are offered to candidates who are foreigners, non-Kerala, Persons with disabilities (PWD), sponsored candidates, and sportspersons.
