Nativity:

  • For admissions conducted by separate institutions, there is no domicile criteria as such.

  • For state lateral entry admissions in Paramedical courses, candidates must be a native of that particular state.

  • For centralised admissions, candidates must be holding an Indian domicile.

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have pursued a two or three years Diploma after class 10 or equivalent.

State Paramedical (Lateral Entry) Admissions 2020 - Selection Process

  • This selection process for Paramedical courses is usually merit-based.

  • In such a process, there is a conducting authority that organises the entire admission process.

  • Applicants are corresponded by the authority about the merit-based selection process.

  • The conducting authority releases a list of candidates eligible for the first round of counselling on its official website.

  • Candidates are allocated suitable Govt. or Private colleges as per the counselling.

  • Then, if the seats remain vacant, the second round of counselling is conducted, which follows the same procedure.

  • Even after the second round, if the seats still remain vacant, a mop-up round is conducted to fill the vacancies.

  • As candidates get allotted seats, they are required to further the enrollment process on prescribed date at the allocated college.

Institute-Specific Paramedical (Lateral Entry) Admissions 2020 - Selection Process

  • This process is also merit-based but the criteria of the merit may vary for different institutions.

  • For example, some college may accept admission on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Diploma course.

  • But if we take examples of institutes like LPU (Lovely Professional University), the merit list is prepared on the basis of candidates scores in LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test).

  • On the basis of either of the criteria, the institute releases a list of candidates selected for admission.
