Undergraduate Programmes	B.Tech or BE Mechanical Engg aspirants will have to secure at least 60% marks in class 12 board exams. Candidates must have physics mathematics and chemistry as compulsory subjects in class 12 curriculum. Admissions are done on the basis of engineering entrance test scores accepted by the respective institutes or universities.
Postgraduate Programmes	Candidates who have secured a minimum 50% in their BE or B.Tech Mechanical Engineering courses can apply for M.Tech or ME programmes. Selection is done on the basis of GATE scores and Personal Interviews conducted by respective institutes.

At Lovely Professional University, a student who has completed a 3-year diploma can take admission in B.Tech through lateral entry. Generally, a minimum of about 60% marks in the diploma is required for most engineering branches. Relaxation in percentage may be available for reserved categories as per university norms. Admission is offered based on eligibility and availability of seats at LPU.
