NEET PG Percentile rank is mostly used to clear the interpretation of marks and the percentage is calculated on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the computer-based test. To qualify NEET PG 2022 exam, General category candidates will require at least the 50th percentile while SC/ST/OBC candidates will require the 40th percentile.

NEET PG: Type of Ranks
The classification of NEET PG ranks is of the following three types:
All India Rank (AIR)
AIR reflects the overall position of the candidate in the merit list i.e. the overall rank secured by a candidate in comparison to other candidates who have appeared for the test.
All India 50% Quota (AIQ) Rank
AIQ indicates the rank of a candidate who applied under All India 50% seats among other candidates. As per the Reservation Policy of NEET PG, AIQ is applicable only to 50% of the total PG seats in government medical colleges across the country. The remaining 50% of seats are reserved for candidates having domicile in the state.

NEET PG Cut off Tie-breaking Criteria
Owing to such fierce competition among students in the NEET PG exam, there may be certain instances where two or more candidates earn the same percentile. However, their ranks cannot be the same. Under such circumstances, the NEET PG Tie-breaking protocol will be applied and the merit of the concerned candidates will be determined in order of preference as follows:
The candidate who has given the least number of incorrect answers in Sections A, B and C combined will be ranked higher on the NEET PG Rank List.
The candidate scoring higher marks in Section C will be positioned at a higher rank
The applicant with the least number of incorrect answers in Section C will receive a higher rank
The applicant scoring higher marks in Section B will be ranked higher
The candidate with the least number of incorrect answers in Section B will be rewarded a higher rank
The applicant scoring higher marks in Section A will be given priority
The candidate with the lesser number of incorrect answers in Section A will be allotted a higher rank
Lastly, the older candidate will be ranked higher
NEET PG Counselling 2022
Based on the list of NEET PG Rank released by the NBA, NEET PG 2022 Counselling for 50% of total seats under the AIQ will be arranged. Qualified candidates will be offered admissions to Central/Deemed Universities, ESIC (Employees State Insurance Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research) and AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College). To appear for the NEET PG Seat Allotment procedure, qualified candidates will have to register for the counselling and provide their preferred choice of college/institute along with the reservation criteria.
