How to Apply for Odisha Nursing Admissions 2020

You can apply for Nursing admissions in Odisha for 2020 in online as well as offline mode.

Online Application

  • Visit the official website of the Director of Nursing Odisha.

  • Look for the online application link on the home page of the website.

  • The first step would be registration.

  • For that, you will have to enter a valid email-id and password.

  • After you have submitted the registration form, an application form will appear.

  • Fill in all the required and valid details on the form.

  • After that, upload the required supporting documents. The documents must of the prescribed format and size.

  • Finally, pay the application fee and submit the form.

  • Before submitting the form, it would be advisable to take a print out of the form.

Offline Application

  • You can download an offline application form from the official website of the Director of Nursing Odisha.

  • You can also purchase an application form at any nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) at the CHC (Community Health Centre) at Block Level/ Gram Panchayat Level/ CDM Office/ PHO Office at the District Level.

  • After filling up the form, you will have to post the form at the stipulated address along with a DD for the application fee.

  • Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.

  • Must have completed GNM from ONMEB Odisha or equivalent.

  • Must be RN (Registered Nurse) or RM (Registered Midwife) from ONMRC or any other state nursing council.

  • Should have studied at least M.E. standard Odia from an institute recognised by ONMRC.

  • The result for Odisha Nursing entrance exam 2020 will be published on the official website of the conducting body.

  • No other medium is used for releasing the result.

  • The merit list for B.Sc. Nursing is prepared on the basis of candidates’ marks in Class 12 examinations.

  • For PBB.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, ANM and GNM, the merit list is prepared based on candidates’ performance in the entrance exam.

If the performance of two candidates in the entrance exam or qualifying exam is similar, the selection is done using tie-breaking rules. In such cases, preference is given to the following:

  • Candidate with higher marks in Class 12 English examination.

  • Candidate with older age.

  • Candidates with older age.

  • Candidates who score well in the Class 12 examinations or entrance exam make it to the merit lists.

  • On the basis of these merit lists, candidates are called for the counselling process.

  • Candidates will have to present for document verification on the stipulated time, date and location.

  • Finally, candidates who are selected have to submit the admission fee amount to ensure their enrollment to the intended course.
