Make sure that you have made all of your documents ready before the exam. Download and take a printout of your TANCET 2024 admit card and keep one of the following ID proofs ready to take to the exam centre.

  • Voter ID

  • Aadhar Card

  • Driving License

  • Valid College ID

Find Out the Location of the Exam Sector

Make sure that you know how to reach the exam centre before the exam day. Whether you are planning to reach by private vehicle or public transport, it is important to have the route clear in your head. If possible, visit the exam centre location once at least a day before the exam day to have a clear idea.

Carry Your Stationery

Since TANCET 2024 is an offline (pen-and-paper-based) exam, make sure that you have a pen, a pencil and an eraser ready before the exam day and carry them with you to the centre.

Reach the Exam Centre Early

Reach the exam centre early as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card to complete all of the formalities without any rush. It is just a great way to avoid any last-minute rush and keep your head calm and steady.

Follow the Invigilator's Instructions

Be attentive to the instructions given out by the invigilators at the exam centre. It is necessary for candidates to follow the invigilator's instructions at the centre or they are liable to be disqualified from the exam. In case you see any discrepancy or have a problem, discuss it with the invigilator or any concerned authority at the exam centre.

Start With the Easy Section

Once the invigilators have asked you to open the question paper, read the instructions carefully and then quickly go through the different sections. Start with the section that you are the most confident in or just pick the easiest section to begin.

Don'ts for TANCET MBA 2024

Avoid doing these things on or before the TANCET 2024 exam day.

Don't Overburden Yourself

In the last days of exam study, students tend to overburden themselves with their studies due to the added pressure and anxiety of the approaching exam date. But, too much study can exhaust your mind and not be as beneficial as you think. Amidst studying and practising, find time for leisure/fun activities, hobbies, rest, eating & drinking. Keep the pressure off!

Don't Leave Home Without Revision

One very good tip is to have a cheat sheet of formulas, which you should quickly revise before leaving home for the exam centre. It is an excellent refresher of memory and reduces the chances of forgetting an important formula during the exam.

Don't Skip Breakfast

Skipping breakfast on exam day will make you feel lethargic and blue. An empty stomach can also leave you cranky and in a bad overall mood. Have a good and healthy breakfast to the energy in your system. It will also lift up your mood on exam day, helping you to not let any small inconveniences get to you.

Don't Carry Electronic Items to the Exam Centre

Electronic items such as mobile phones, calculators, wristwatches, cameras, earphones etc. cannot be carried inside the exam centre. Usually, centres these days have an arrangement for the safekeeping of mobile phones but it is not guaranteed and not recommended by the conducting body as well. So, it is best not to take it with you to the centre unless you can take responsibility for their safekeeping.

Don't Carry Bags and Papers Inside the Exam Centre

Bags, notebooks and papers except the admit card and ID proof will not be allowed inside the exam centre.

Don't Spend Too Much Time on a Question

It is a tendency of some candidates to keep trying to find the answer to a question if they are stuck. That is a big no! Do not waste too much time on any question in TANCET 2024. If you are unable to solve it, move on to the next question. If there is time left at the end, you can come back to the skipped questions.

Don't Rush When Marking Answers

When marking answers in the OMR sheet, make sure you are filling the complete circle as per the instructions specified by the conducting body. Rushing can cause you to leave a circle half-filled or leave markings on two answer options, both of which will decrease your score in the exam.
