Admissions to the postgraduate nursing programme offered in the various medical colleges in West Bengal will be based on entrance tests or merit-based. There are various medical colleges that offer an M.Sc Nursing programme on the basis of an entrance test. The most common entrance test for M.Sc Nursing in West Bengal is JENPAS PG, which is a written entrance examination (Pen-Paper Test) conducted across the state. WB M.Sc Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2021

Like many academic programmes in the country, admissions to the M.Sc Nursing programmes offered in Nursing colleges of West Bengal will be based on WB B.Sc Nursing eligibility criteria 2021. As mentioned earlier, the most common entrance exam conducted for admissions to M.Sc Nursing is JENPAS PG. Therefore, the eligibility criteria for M.Sc Nursing admissions would be similar to that required for the JENPAUH entrance exam. Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualifications

  • Candidates with a valid bachelor's degree in Nursing, i.e. B.Sc Nursing or equivalent from a recognised University or college are eligible

  • Candidates with a valid Post Basic Nursing degree are also eligible.

  • Candidates currently appearing for the final year examinations are also eligible for the examination.

Qualifying Marks

  • All Candidates are required to have secured a minimum aggregate score of 55% or more in the qualifying exam.

  • Reserved category candidates are required to have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate score in the qualifying exam.

Work Experience

  • All candidates should have at least a one-year work experience in the field of nursing from the date of being registered to a State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.

Domicile Requirement

  • Candidates must prove that they are citizens of the state by displaying a certificate of domicile from West Bengal.

WB M.Sc Nursing Application Process 2021

For those interested in taking admission to any one of the many M.Sc Nursing programmes through the entrance test, then you will be required to follow the WB M.Sc Nursing application process 2021 as outlined below.

  • Application forms for JENPAS PG will be available on the official website of WBJEEB. All applications for the examination will be accepted via online mode only.

  • All candidates will be required to first register themselves with the WBJEE Board, subsequently, filling up the application forms.

  • During the application process, you will be required to enter your personal details such as candidate name, DoB, academic qualifications, as well as upload the necessary documents as per the instructions displayed by the board.

  • After entering and uploading the necessary documents, candidates will be required to pay the application fee as outlined by the board via the payment gateways mentioned on the website.

  • After the payment of the application fee, the application process will be completed. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application forms along with the receipt of application fees for further admission processes.

WB M.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam Admit Card 2021

Since JENPAS PG is a written examination, candidates who have applied for the same would be required to download the WB M.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam admit card. The WBJEE Board will generate relevant admit cards of all candidates who submit their application forms on time. Each candidate is required to produce the admit card at the respective test centres. All JENPAS M.Sc Nursing admit cards will be made available for download on the official website on the stipulated date and time. Candidates are advised to check if the details of the following categories mentioned on the admit card are correct.

  • Name of the Candidate

  • Roll Number

  • Date of Birth

  • Gender of Candidate

  • Photograph of the Candidate

  • Signature of the Candidate

  • Examination Name

  • Test/Exam Centre Allocated to the Candidate with the address of the location

  • Date and Time of Examination

  • General Instructions and Regulations to be followed at the Exam Centre.

WB M.Sc Nursing Selection Process 2021

After successfully completing the application process, candidates will be asked to participate in the WB M.Sc Nursing selection process 2021. As mentioned earlier, admissions to the M.Sc Nursing programme offered in the medical colleges will be based on entrance test scores, candidates will first be required to sit for the examination and participate in further selection processes.

As per the admission guidelines defined by the Board, once the results of JENPAS PG have been released at the stipulated date, candidates will be called for the counselling sessions rounds. Candidates would be required to select their choices and complete the selection process the submission or relevant acceptance documents and payment of the fees.

WB M.Sc Nursing Counselling Process 2021

Selection of the candidates for the M.Sc Nursing programmes will be based on the WB M.Sc Nursing counselling process 2021. WBJEEB will conduct a counselling session with multiple rounds for all candidates shortlisted via JENPAS PG 2021. During the counselling rounds, candidates will be asked to select their choice of course and college. Students will be allocated seats in the chosen colleges depending on the scores obtained by them in the entrance exam, the preferred choices and the availability of seats in the chosen course and college.

After the conclusion of the counselling rounds, all selected candidates will be asked to follow the steps to confirm their seats and admission to the courses in order to continue pursuing the course at the respective colleges.
