Expected Cutoff Percentile for 60 Marks in CAT 2025

A raw cutoff percentile for 60 marks in CAT 2025 is expected to be around 93.3. While it is not considered a very good score for IIM MBA admission, students can still get into the newer IIMs with this score. The chances of securing admission with a 93.3 percentile score are quite low. In general, the ideal overall cutoff percentile for seeking IIM MBA admission through CAT is 97+. For the sectional cutoffs, students must secure 70th-75th percentile in each category. Although the final shortlisting for the admission process is usually conducted based on the composite score, applicants are still required to secure a good score as per the overall and sectional cutoffs to qualify.

To offer an example, the reserved category students have a good chance of securing IIM admission across the top-ranking institutions with this score. However, the general category students will only get selected for admission into the newer or baby IIMs with a 93.3 percentile in CAT 2025. The official marks vs percentile data for CAT 2025 will be decided by calculating the composite score. Various factors are usually considered while shortlisting the eligible candidates, like overall CAT score, sectional CAT scores in VARC, DILR and QA, the total number of students who have taken the test, and past year trends.

In a gist, 60 marks in CAT 2025 is not considered a good score for MBA admission. Students with this score will have very limited options to choose from among the list of institutes for admission. While all the top-tier IIMs are definitely out of the way, students may still get into IIMs like Jammu, Nagpur, Vizag, and other decent business schools in the country with this score, based on factors like gender diversity, work experience, and a non-engineering background. It is important to keep in mind that these factors only present an opportunity for the students to get a call for participation in the shortlisting process. They do not, however, guarantee a good admission chance with a 93.3 percentile in CAT 2025.

Dear Student,

For admission to GIBS Bangalore, there is no fixed “minimum score” like in government colleges. Admission is based on the merit of the qualifying exam for UG and an entrance examination for PG.

If you have further queries regarding GIBS admission, you can write to hello@collegedekho.com or call our toll-free number 18005729877, or simply fill out our Common Application Form on the website.
