Banaras Hindu University (BHU) announced that admission to PG courses will be conducted based on the CUET PG exam instead of the BHU Postgraduate Entrance Test (BHU-PET). Read this article to know all about the BHU M.Sc Agriculture Admission 2022. 

BHU PET M.Sc 2022

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducted the BHU Postgraduate Entrance Test (PET) every year for shortlisting the students for admission to 2 years Master of Science (M.Sc Agriculture) programme. The candidates who wish to take admission to the M.Sc Agriculture course at BHU would have to clear the BHU PET entrance exam. From this year onwards, BHU-PET 2022 will be organized by NTA under the CUET PG exam (Common University Entrance Test PG). Candidates will be offered admission depending on their performance on CUET PG 2022. 

So, the candidates who have applied for the M.Sc agriculture course under Banaras Hindu University will have to appear in the CUET PG exam. The dates of the entrance test have been released. The exam will be held in different phases from September 1 to September 11, 2022. Candidates of the M.Sc agriculture course need to appear on the date scheduled for this course only.

BHU M.Sc Agriculture Eligibility Criteria 2022

In order to apply for Banaras Hindu University MSc agriculture course, the candidates need to meet the following eligibility norms:

  • Candidates having 4-years BSc in Agriculture/ BSc in Agriculture (Hons.)/ BSc in Horticulture with the credit-based system under the rules of ICAR are eligible for this entrance exam
  • Candidates qualified in 4-years BSc in Horticulture with credit-based system and under the ICAR guidelines are desirable for all M.Sc agriculture disciplines. M.Sc agriculture agronomy is exempted from this.
  • General category candidates need to have minimum 6.0/10 or 2.5/4, 3.5/5, 4.0/ 6 OGPA. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD category must have 2.0/4, 3.0/5, 3.5/6 and 5.5/10 OGPA in their qualifying examination. ( According to university instructions)
  • Candidates who have pursued an equivalent degree in agriculture from any of the foreign-based universities can also apply

BHU M.Sc Agriculture Entrance Exam Pattern 2022

In order to clear the BHU PET 2022 for admission to MSc Agriculture, it is very important that the aspirants are well aware of the exam pattern. This will not only help the candidates learn about the types of questions asked in the exam but will also help them to prepare accordingly. 

BHU PET 2022 under the name of CUET PG will be conducted in the online mode for a total of 2 hours duration. The test will be conducted for a total of 100 questions consisting of a total of 400 marks. Some of the major highlights of the BHU PET 2022 exam pattern are given below:

BHU M.Sc Agriculture Entrance Exam Result 2022 

The candidates who will appear in the BHU PET exam (CUET PG) can check their results after the examination through the official website. The BHU PET 2022 result will consist of the candidate’s score in the test, subject-wise merit, and overall merit in the exam. The candidates can follow the given below steps to download BHU entrance exam result 2022:

How to Check BHU PET 2022 Result?

  1. Visit the official website.

  2. On the homepage, click on the “Result PET 2022” link.

  3. Enter your roll number and date of birth.

  4. The BHU PET 2022 result will be displayed on the screen. Download and store the result for further reference.

BHU MSc Agriculture Merit List 2022

After the result and cutoff are declared, BHU will release the merit list for the M.Sc Agriculture course separately. The candidates who have qualified in the entrance test will have their names listed on the merit list. The candidates who have their names on the merit list will be eligible for the counselling process. The candidates can check the BHU PET 2022 MSc Agriculture merit list from the official website once it is released.

BHU MSc Agriculture Counselling 2022

The candidates who will clear the BHU M.Sc Agriculture entrance exam will be further called for the counselling process. The counselling for admission to the M.Sc Agriculture programme will be done by the Department of Science, BHU. The following counselling process will be followed for BHU M.Sc Agriculture Admission 2022 :

Step 1: The qualifying candidates will have to download the counselling call letter through the candidate segment on the BHU candidate portal.

Step 2: The candidates will have to log in to the entrance exam portal where they will have to fill out the online preference entry form. The candidates will have to choose the course as MSc Agriculture, type of seat, and counselling location preference in the form.

Step 3: The candidates will have to report at the respective counselling centre at the prescribed schedule where they will have to sign the online preference entry form. No changes in the form will be entertained after the signature.

Step 4: After the counselling process, the candidates will have to receive the provisional admission letter. The BHU M.Sc Agriculture Admission provisional letter will consist of details such as the allotted course, admission fee, and the last date to pay the fee.

Step 5: The candidates can pay the admission fee via credit/ debit/ online banking through the BHU entrance exam portal to secure their seats for admission.

The candidates will have to submit the following documents for verification at the time of BHU PET 2022 counselling for MSc Agriculture admission:

National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped Hyderabad does not offer any certificate course in special education. They offer the following courses: B.Ed in Special Education (ID) and D.Ed in Special Education (IDD). The seat intake capacity is 33 and 35, respectively. There are no vacant seats for B.Ed course. However, only 18 have enrolled so far for the diploma course.
