• Students must have a Masters degree in the respective subject either from CU or some other recognised university

Economics

• A student must have had NET/SET/M.Phil from any recognized university.

• Or a candidate must have qualified RET conducted by the department

• Students expected to get M.Phil in Economics from any of the UGC recognized university would be exempted from RET and would be eligible to sit for the interview directly.

CILL(Comparative Indian Language and literature.)

• Candidates must have had an MA degree in CILL or any other literature subject or Literature allied subject

• 55% marks in the subject from a recognized university

• 50% marks for Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe/ Other Backward Caste.

Education

• Candidate must have 55% in aggregate or anything equivalent to B grade under UGC recognized.

• A relaxation of 5% would be given to the reserved category. They need 50% to be eligible to apply.

• The candidate who has passed in MA/M S.c/M.Com/MLIS or equivalent examination with 55% marks in aggregate with such respective subject. M.A.

• Students in the final semester of M.Phil can also apply for it professionally and can sit for the admission test but their final admission would depend on their result.

• Candidates qualified NET or SET are exempted from the written test but not from the interview.

• Candidates of M.A, M.Sc and other postgraduate degrees are eligible to apply for ‘Women Studies

• Candidates having a degree of other universities are required to submit ‘Equivalence Certificate’

• Candidates holding degrees of Open university or Distance course of any university would also have to provide equivalence certificate.

• Candidates from reserved category must submit a ‘Domicile Certificate’ from the Central government or State Government which includes people of the following post,
