The CAT 2025 objection form will likely be released in the 1st/ 2nd week of December 2025. The exam date is November 30, 2025. Once the preliminary key is available, you can raise objections against it if you notice any errors.

In 2018, an important provision was introduced that allows applicants who have taken the CAT exam to raise objections to the official answer keys. For instance, in the 2021 session, aspirants raised objections, resulting in changes to one question in the QA section of Shift 2. Changes were also made to the Shift 1 & 3 answer keys. • Log on to the official website of CAT 2025 (iimcat.ac.in)

• Go to the tab of the candidate login and click on it.

• Enter your login credentials and sign in.

• The screen will show the page of your personal details.

• On the page, click on the tab titled “Objection Form.”

• Choose the question number, section, and type of objection from the provisional CAT answer.

• Select one from the following three options given:

  • More than one option is a correct answer

  • None of the options is a correct answer

  • The answer key is incorrect

• While objecting to any CAT question, you will be given the option to add remarks of up to 500 words.

• After you have raised the objection and given the remark, you will be required to pay the objection fee of INR 1200.

• It is important to be very careful while submitting the objections to CAT 2025 because no changes will be allowed later on.

• There is no restriction on the number of objections that you can raise.

• Once objections have been submitted, they cannot be edited.
• There is no limit to the number of objections that can be raised against the official CAT answer keys.

• The objection fee will be refunded only to those candidates whose objections have been accepted.
• The refund of the objection fee will be processed within 5 working days.

The CAT answer key objection management is supervised by an IIM. For example, in 2024, the exam-conducting organisation, IIM Lucknow, made public the objections that were taken into account in the assessment of the CAT provisional answer key and the calculation of CAT scores, along with the release of the CAT Final Answer Key. Question ID: 48916816317 Question Type: MCQ Correct Option Marks: 3 Wrong Option Marks: -1 Decision: Apart from the officially released answer key (Option ID: 48916840863 (answer: B1)), one more Option (Option ID: 48916840864 (Answer: D2)) is a correct answer. + 3 marks were awarded to all those candidates who marked either of these two options as their answer. The remaining candidates were awarded -1 mark for choosing the wrong option & 0 marks for leaving the question unattempted.
