The competition is tough for the GPAT exam every year, thus, most of the students enroll in GPAT coaching classes to prepare for the exam. However, some students choose not to take coaching for the GPAT exam for multiple reasons, like expensive coaching fees, lack of 1-on-1 interaction, no nearby centres, lack of offline classes, etc.

Some of the important topics for GPAT exam are Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Human Anatomy, etc. You should also know that the GPAT question paper contains 125 multiple-choice questions, and the total marks of the exam is 500. For every correct answer, students will get 4 marks, and -1 will be deducted for every incorrect response.

To do well on the GPAT 2025 exam, students need to follow certain strategies to improve their preparation. Here are some common mistakes to avoid:

  • First, don’t wait until the last minute to study. Last-minute studying can leave you confused during the exam. Make sure to review important subjects a few days before the test to understand the concepts fully.
  • Second, hard work is essential. While studying efficiently is important, it's not enough. You must create a study plan and dedicate enough time to prepare for the GPAT 2025. Give each subject dedicated time. Use textbooks and online resources to improve your understanding.
  • Third, address any questions you have before the test. If you have a question about a topic, try to find the answer before moving on. This will help you understand the material better.
  • Fourth, set aside time to practice on GPAT sample papers and mock tests. This will help students get used to the exam format and improve their time-management skills. Review your results to find areas where you can do better and plan extra study time for those topics.
  • Lastly, set weekly revision sessions to go over what you’ve learned before and attempt GPAT previous year question papers . Finally, maintain a healthy lifestyle with enough sleep, good nutrition, and regular exercise. This will keep your mind and body ready for studying.

A good study plan should be realistic and easy to follow. Before starting their preparation, students should create a clear and effective plan. 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM

Revise topics prepared the day before

Utilise the early hours of the day to revise all the topics that were completed the previous day

9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Slot I

Choose all the weak areas for the GPAT Syllabus and work on those chapters thoroughly. In the end, take a test to assess the GPAT preparation level

12:30 PM to 12:45 PM

Take break

Students can take a 15 minutes break time to relax their mind

12:45 PM to 4:00 PM

Slot II

During this time, students should write down all the areas where they faced problems while reading and come up with solutions. It is important to administer at least 1 test to check the preparedness of these areas

4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Tea Break

Take a tea break. Students should divert their minds from studying and do other relaxing activities to rest their brain

Slot III

Students need to focus on completing new topics during this timeframe. It is mandatory to self-assess after finishing the studies. It helps students to remember all the new information that they just learned

8:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Dinner

Students must have a light dinner and focus on incorporating salads in their dinner for optimal physical health

9:30 PM to 10:30 PM

Practice MCQs

Solve previous year's question papers and at least 50 MCQs to practice all GPAT syllabus thoroughly

10:30 PM

Go to bed

Students must go to bed early to get proper sleep and wake up early in the morning
