Christ University B.Sc Economics Honours Application Process 2024

The applications for each program will close about a week before the scheduled selection procedure. All applicants must register at appstat.christuniversity.in by entering their name (as it appears on their 10th class mark sheet), password, and email address. The email and phone number you provide will be used to send confirmation emails and application status updates. As long as the eligibility requirements for each program are met, an applicant may apply for numerous programs using the same ID.

The following are the phases in the application process for Christ University's BSc Economics (Honours) degree program:

  • To register, go to the official website and enter your name, email address, and registered mobile phone number.
  • After successfully registering, candidates must fill out and submit a complete online application form, a scanned copy of their recent passport-size photograph in formal attire and against a white backdrop, and a scanned copy of their class 10th and class 11th/ 12th mark sheets.
  • When you click on “ submit ”, an editable page will display where you can make any last changes, save it, and then submit the application by selecting "Confirm Submission."
  • Following this, you will be led to the payment page, where you must pay the mandated application fee via credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
  • A nine-digit application number will be generated following payment. Candidates must have a printout of the application form with them. If candidates were unable to print the application form due to system failure/power outage, etc., they can return to https://appstat.christuniversity.in and input the registered email address and mobile number to view and print the application form on the “application status” page.

If candidates are unable to locate the application form, the application process is incomplete, and a full refund will be made to the candidate's bank account within 15 days.

Note: Aspirants who come under any of these classifications (SAARC / ASEAN / PIO / OCI / Africa / other Foreign Nationals) must submit the appropriate supporting documents (Copy of PIO / OCI card, Copy of Passport, whichever is applicable, and a Copy of Class 10 & Class 11/12 Mark sheet) in an A4 size envelope by only Registered Post / Courier to The Co-ordinator, Office of International Affairs, Christ (Deemed to be University), Hosur Road, Bengaluru- 560029, Karnataka, India, Phone No: +918040129439.

  • For future reference, all candidates must keep a record of their username and password, application number, selection process date, program applied for, and city.
  • Candidates must read the crucial dates section before completing the application, or they can select the selection process dates when completing the application online.
  • Changes to the date or city will not be accepted.

Christ University B.Sc Economics Hons Eligibility Criteria 2024

The following are the eligibility requirements for Christ University's BSc Economics (Honours) undergraduate degree program:

  • Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized school board (ISC/ CBSE/ NIOS/ Other State Board).
  • Candidates must have studied Mathematics or Economics as one of the subjects in their 10+2.
  • Students pursuing an international curriculum should be aware that eligibility is determined by AIU guidelines:
  1. Applicants studying the IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL credits with a total of 24 credits.
  2. Applicants studying GCE / Edexcel should have a minimum of three A levels with a grade of C or higher.

Christ University B.Sc Economics Hons Admission Process 2024

Candidates will be admitted to Christ University's three-year BSc Economics (Honors) undergraduate program based on three major criteria listed below:

  • Criterion No. 1: Christ University will conduct the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) as the first stage of the selection process. CUET exam will be MCQ-based and will contain 120 MCQs for a total of 120 marks. There will be a plus one mark for each correct answer and a negative 0.25 mark for every incorrect answer.
  • Criterion No. 2: Candidates who pass the entrance exam go to the next stage of the selection process, which includes a micro presentation and a personal interview. A candidate for the micro presentation must talk for 90 seconds on any topic chosen by the judging panel. Successful candidates will advance to the next step, which will be a personal interview lasting up to 10 minutes. The micro presentation and personal interview will both take place online.
  • Criterion No. 3: When applying online, candidates must give scanned copies of their class 10th and class 11th/ 12th mark sheets. The performance of a candidate in class 10th and class 11th/12th will be examined and considered for admission.

After the counseling procedure, candidates who meet the aforementioned criteria will be admitted to Christ University's three-year BSc Economics (Honors) undergraduate program.

Selected candidates will be sent an e-offer letter of admission, which will be valid until the date specified in the letter. Candidates are also recommended to download the admission offer letter from the university's official website's "application status" link.

To proceed with the admissions process, candidates must fulfil the following steps:

  • To facilitate a smooth admissions process, candidates must choose their preferred day and time from the options provided.
  • Enrollment must take place at the campus where the program is offered unless otherwise mentioned in the admission offer.
  • According to UGC regulations, fees must be paid online.
  • Payment options and the rest of the information will be included in the admittance offer.
  • The entire first-year price, including the admission registration charge, must be paid in full as part of the enrollment process.

Documents Required for Christ University B.Sc Economics Honours Counselling Process 2024

At the time of admission, all required original documents, as well as one set of photocopies, must be given to the college. The following documents are indispensable for admission:

  • Mark sheets for classes 10th and 11th/ 12th
  • Class 12th transfer certificate must be provided by July 15, 2024.
  • Class 12th migration certificates must also be presented by 15th July 2024. (except Karnataka state board applicants)
  • One passport-sized and one stamp-sized photograph, both on a white background and in formal attire
  • Two copies of the online payment receipt
  • A copy of your government ID (PAN Card/ Voter ID Card/ Aadhar Card/ Aadhar Enrolment Receipt)

Candidates who fall into one of the following categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) must submit the following documents:

  • Copies of Passport and Visa (Compulsory).
  • PIO/OCI must supply a copy of their PIO/OCI card, as applicable (Compulsory).
  • Any qualified medical practitioner accredited by the Medical Council of India must provide a Resident Permit (RP) and a Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) (If present while applying).

Note: Students passing/ appearing in the March-June 2024 exam must provide an agreement for awaiting original documents that are currently unavailable to the office of admissions. These documents are due by July 15, 2024.

Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) 2024

CUET exam is conducted by Christ University for admission to the B.Sc Economics (Hons) three-year undergraduate program. The entrance test contains 120 multiple-choice questions for a total of 120 marks. Aspirants will get a plus one mark for every correct answer and a negative 0.25 mark for every incorrect answer. There are no marks awarded for unanswered questions. The duration of the Christ University’s Entrance Test is 1.5 hours. The test will be conducted online and will be AI-proctored to monitor any illegitimate activity by the candidates during the test.
