Christ University LL.M Application Process 2022

Christ University's LLM application procedure began on April 26, 2022, and concluded on May 28, 2022. The applications for each program close about a week before the scheduled selection procedure. All applicants must register at https://appstat.christuniversity.in by submitting their name (as it appears on their Class 10 mark sheet), password, and email address. The email and phone number you provide will be used to send confirmation emails and application status updates. As long as the eligibility requirements for each program are met, an applicant may apply for numerous programs using the same ID.

The following are the steps for applying to Christ University's LLM postgraduate degree program:

  • To register, go to the official webiste and enter your name, email address, and registered mobile phone number.
  • After successfully registering, candidates must fill out and submit a complete online application form, as well as a scanned copy of their recent passport size photograph in formal dress code and on a white backdrop, as well as a scanned copy of their class 10th and 12th mark sheets along with LLB degree mark sheet.
  • When you click the submit button, an editable page will display where you may make any last changes, save it, and then submit the application by clicking the "Confirm Submission" button.
  • Following this, you will be led to the payment page, where you must pay the mandated application fee via credit card/debit card/net banking.
  • A nine-digit application number will be generated following payment. Candidates must have a printout of the application form with them. In case, the candidates were unable to print the application form due to system failure/power outage, etc., they can return to https://appstat.christuniversity.in and input the registered email address and mobile number to go to the application status" page to view and print the application form.

If candidates are unable to locate the application form, the application process is incomplete, and a full refund will be issued to the candidate's bank account within 15 days.

Note: Candidates who fall into any of these categories (SAARC / ASEAN / PIO / OCI / Africa / other Foreign Nationals) must provide the necessary supporting documents (Copy of PIO / OCI card, Copy of Passport, whichever is applicable, and Copy of Class 10 & Class 11/12 Marksheet along with LLB degree mark sheet, if results awaited then mark sheets till last year/semester) in an A4 size envelope Only by Registered Post / Courier to The Co-ordinator, Office of International Affairs, Christ (Deemed to be University), Hosur Road, Bengaluru- 560029, Karnataka, India, Phone No: +918040129439.

  • For future reference, all candidates must keep a record of their username and password, application number, program applied for, selection process date, and city.
  • The crucial dates section must be reviewed before filling out the application, or candidates may choose the selection procedure dates when completing the online application.
  • Changes to the date or city will not be accepted.
  • All other candidates must bring the original documents, application printout, and a set of photocopies to the selection process venue on the date, time, and location mentioned on the admit card.
  • If necessary, all travel arrangements must be made in advance.
  • Applicants in their last year of school must bring their previous year's mark sheets while reporting to the selection process site. The application printout, the original Class 10 and Class 11/12 mark sheets, as well as a set of photocopies, must be brought with you.
  • The original mark sheets and ID evidence will be confirmed during the selection process.

Christ University LL.M Eligibility Criteria 2022

Christ University’s eligibility criteria for the one-year LLM postgraduate degree program are mentioned below:

  • Candidates must have completed an LLB undergraduate degree (3 or 5-year course) with a minimum aggregate of 50% or higher from any recognized university in India or abroad recognized by UGC / AIU.
  • Students taking their final degree examinations in March-May 2022 are also eligible to apply (Applicants in the last year of their studies in LLB (3 or 5 year degrees) must have obtained a 50 per cent or higher aggregate in all Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted thus far).

Christ University LL.M Admission Process 2022

Candidates will be admitted to Christ University's one-year postgraduate LLM program based on three major criteria listed below:

  • Criteria 1: The first stage of the admission process is skill assessment. It’s a written test conducted by Christ University via online mode to assess candidates’ legal knowledge and other skills that are crucial to successfully completing the one-year LLM postgraduate program. Candidates who pass this first stage of the admission process move on to the next stages of the LLM admission process.
  • Criteria 2: Applicants who pass the skill assessment written test will advance to the next stage of the selection process, which includes a micro presentation and personal interview. A contender for the micro presentation must talk for 90 seconds on any topic chosen by the judging panel. Successful candidates will advance to the next step, which will be a personal interview lasting up to 15 minutes. The micro presentation and personal interview will both take place online.
  • Criteria 3: Once the candidates complete filling out the online application form, they are required to upload the scanned copies of the 10th, 12th, and graduation mark sheets on the application status login page for the academic performance verification by the admissions department of Christ University.

Note: Applications with no mark sheets attached or unclear scanned copies of the mark sheets will be rejected and termed ineligible.

The dates for Skill Assessment, Micro Presentation, and Personal Interview will be mentioned in the e-admit card that candidates will receive two days before the opted date for the skill assessment exam.

Applicants who successfully pass all of the above-mentioned admission process stages will be admitted to Christ University's one-year LLM program following the completion of the counseling procedure.

Selected candidates will be sent an e-offer letter of admission, which will be valid until the date specified in the letter. Candidates are also recommended to download the admission offer letter from the university's official website's "application status" link.

To proceed with the admissions process, candidates must fulfil the following steps:

  • To facilitate a smooth admissions process, candidates must choose their preferred day and time from the options provided.
  • Enrollment must take place at the campus where the program is offered unless otherwise mentioned in the admission offer.
  • According to UGC regulations, fees must be paid online.
  • Payment options and the rest of the information will be included in the admittance offer.
  • The entire first-year fee, including the admission registration charge, must be paid in full as part of the admission procedure.

Documents Required for Christ university LL.M Counseling Process 2022

At the time of admission, all required original documents, as well as one set of photocopies, must be given to the college. The following documents are necessary for admission:

1. A printout of the E-admit card (Mandatory).

2. NEFT / Online Payment Receipt Copies (Mandatory).

3. Marks Statement: Class 10th and Class 12th (Mandatory).

4. Mark sheets of the undergraduate degree (if results are awaited, mark sheets up to the year-end/semester end) (Mandatory).

5. A provisional degree certificate if the candidate completed/graduated prior to June 2022 (Mandatory).

6. Degree certificate (Convocation Certificate), if the candidate graduated prior to November 2022 (Mandatory).

7. The Transfer Certificate (TC) of the last qualified institution's undergraduate/postgraduate degree must be submitted by 20 August 2022 (Mandatory).

8. Migration Certificate of Undergraduate Degree from Qualifying University (applicable to all candidates excluding those studying in Karnataka) must be submitted by August 20, 2022 (Mandatory).

9. Students in their final year must present their grade report for the preceding semester/year (Mandatory).

10. Candidates who fall into one of the following categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN /OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) should apply.

  • Passport and Visa Information (Mandatory).
  • Candidates applying under PIO or OCI must provide a copy of their PIO or OCI card, if appropriate (Mandatory).
  • A Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from any qualified medical practitioner who is a member of the Medical Council of India, and
  •  Permit to Reside (RP) (If available while applying)

11. Photographs in passport and stamp sizes (Mandatory).

12. A valid photo ID (Aadhar Card/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Electoral ID) in original form (Mandatory).

Note: Students passing/appearing in the March-June 2022 exam must provide an undertaking for pending original documents that are currently unavailable to the admissions office. These documents are due by August 20th, 2022.

Christ University LL.M Skill Assessment Exam 2022

Christ University conducts a skill assessment test for the one-year LLM postgraduate degree program. The skill assessment test is a written test administered online that tests candidates’ legal knowledge, logical reasoning, general knowledge, and English language skills. The difficulty level of the skill assessment test is easy to moderate, if a candidate has a good knowledge of the law subjects that they studied during their undergraduate LLB course (3-year/ 5-year) along with sharp analytical and logical reasoning skills plus current affairs knowledge then they would easily pass the written skill assessment examination.

  • Although the fee is fixed for two years, there may be a periodic minimal increase to cover expense increases.
  • NRI fee is payable for the first year for candidates who have studied foreign curriculum (must be accepted by UGC / AIU) in the qualifying examination of study in India. (This does not apply to NRIs or candidates who applied under the NRI category.)
  • For candidates who have pursued and finished their final qualifying exam outside India and the candidates who are NRIs and applicants who applied through the NRI category., the NRI fee is applicable for the whole term of the Program.
