How to Choose Super Specialties in NEET SS 2025

Below are some tips to help you narrow down your options while selecting a super specialty in NEET SS.
  • Assess Your Strengths and Weaknesses: Be honest with yourself. Which subjects did you actually enjoy during your PG? Were you more into logical reasoning and diagnosis, like in Internal Medicine, or did you enjoy hands-on work like in Surgery or Cardiology? Choose the specialty that interests you more.
  • Observe Specialists in Action: If you can, spend a few days shadowing doctors in your top-choice departments. There’s no better way to know what real life looks like in that field. Some departments are high-pressure and unpredictable, others are more structured and academic. Once you’ve seen the actual work environment, the kind of patients, team dynamics, and daily grind, it becomes way easier to make up your mind.
  • Seek Mentorship: Talk to your seniors, professors, or even old friends who are already in those super specialties. Ask them what the career growth, stress level, and work satisfaction are really like. You’ll often hear stuff you won’t find online, the practical side of medicine that only experience can tell.
  • Think Long-Term: Ask yourself where you see yourself 10 or 15 years down the road. Do you want to work in a fast-paced hospital? Or maybe do research, teach, or open your own setup someday? If you want more stability and family time, something like Endocrinology or Dermatology could fit. But if you love action and don’t mind night calls, Critical Care or Cardiology might be your space. Choose a specialty that feels sustainable, not just exciting in the short term.
  • Check Demand Trends: The healthcare scene in India is changing super fast. Fields like Pulmonology, Oncology, and Critical Care have seen a huge rise in demand, especially post-pandemic. Also, areas like Interventional Radiology and Palliative Medicine are expanding and will probably offer great scope in the next decade. Keeping an eye on these trends ensures your efforts pay off in the long run.

Lovely Professional University (LPU), but I can say LPU is best for an MS in Psychological Counseling. LPU offers a postgraduate program designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in counseling, mental health assessment, and therapeutic interventions. Candidates must have a relevant bachelor’s degree, and completing a PGDPC makes you eligible for advanced coursework and practical training. The program emphasizes research, hands-on counseling experience, and skill development, preparing graduates for careers as professional counselors, therapists, or for further academic pursuits in psychology.

With,24600 rank can I get any seat in Aiims in general category

Dear Student,

With a rank of 24,600, it is very unlikely to secure a seat in any AIIMS under the General Category. The closing ranks for AIIMS institutes are much lower every year, and even the least competitive AIIMS usually closes well before this rank.

You may still explore other Government or good Private Medical Colleges where your rank has a better chance in the counselling process.

Wishing you the very best for your admissions.
