Should be a colour image taken within the last three months showing full face, neck, and ears. Avoid selfies; make sure the face fills roughly 75 per cent of the frame.

Real-time photo

One photograph must be taken live through webcam or device camera during form filling, against a white, clean background.

Expression

Keep a neutral expression, eyes open and looking straight at the camera.
Dimension & File Size 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, under 80 KB, in JPG or JPEG format.

Clarity & Focus

The photo should look bright, clear, with no glare or shadow marks.

Use blue or black ink on a plain white sheet and stay within the box drawn for it.

Scanning Quality

Set the scanner to about 200 dpi for a clear image.

Thumb Impression Guidelines for NEET SS 2025

Left-hand thumb impression is mandatory unless unavailable. Some measures to be taken for the thumb impression scanned copy are added below:
  • Use blue or black ink on plain white paper and keep it neat, centred, and smudge-free.
  • File size should be within 80 KB and format only in JPG/ JPEG.
  • Always preview the image scanned once to ensure clarity before uploading.
