As part of the QIP, IITs, NITs, and other government-funded engineering colleges provide places to candidates who do not have a GATE score. M.Tech Admission for Sponsored Seats at IISc, IITs and NITs

IISc, IITs and NITs offer regular M.Tech seats to candidates who have been sponsored by their employers. These candidates don’t need to appear for the GATE entrance exam for admission to M.Tech programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech Sponsored Seats at IISc, IITs and NITs

• Candidates must have completed B Tech or B.E. with the minimum qualifying marks (vary from institute to institute).

• Candidates applying for M.Tech through sponsored seats must have worked for more than 2 years.

• Candidates should have been granted 2-year study leave by their employers.

• The employer must take the responsibility to provide financial support for the candidate throughout the 2-year course.
