As part of the QIP, IITs, NITs, and other government-funded engineering colleges provide places to candidates who do not have a GATE score. IISc, IITs and NITs offer regular M.Tech seats to candidates who have been sponsored by their employers. These candidates don’t need to appear for the GATE entrance exam for admission to M.Tech programmes.

  • Candidates must have completed B Tech or B.E. with the minimum qualifying marks (vary from institute to institute).

  • Candidates applying for M.Tech through sponsored seats must have worked for more than 2 years.

  • Candidates should have been granted 2-year study leave by their employers.

  • The employer must take the responsibility to provide financial support for the candidate throughout the 2-year course.

MTech Without GATE Admission in Central and State Universities

There are various central and state universities that admit students on the basis of GATE as well as their separate entrance exams. Pondicherry University

To be considered for admission to Pondicherry University's M.Tech programme, students must have graduated with a minimum of 55% in BE or B.Tech in relevant disciplines from an accredited university.

Study M.Tech Part-Time
