Eligibility Criteria for 12th

In order to get into ISRO after 12th, the candidates will have to fulfil the given below eligibility criteria:

  • The candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognised board.

  • The candidate must have studied Physics and Mathematics as one of the major subjects at 12th along with one of the optional subjects as Chemistry/Biology?Biotechnology/Computer Science.

  • The candidate must have acquired at least 75% marks in 12th level.

  • The candidate must have appeared for and qualified the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT).

Eligibility Criteria for B Tech

In order to get into ISRO after B.Tech, the candidates will have to fulfil the given below eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have pursued a graduation degree in B.Tech or B.E. in any stream from a recognised institute.

  • The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 65% marks in B.Tech qualifying exam.

  • The age of the candidate must not be above 35 years of age at the time of applying.

  • The candidate must qualify the entrance exam conducted by ISRO for selection.

In order to get selected for ISRO after 12th, the candidates will have to appear for JEE Advanced entrance exam. The number of seats in IIST (Indian Institute of Space Technology) is a total of 140. So, on the basis of rank obtained by the candidates in JEE advanced and the total number of applicants, the students are selected. Every year, ISRO recruits candidates from IIST directly who have a CGPA of 7.5 and above.

ISRO Selection Process after B Tech

In order to shortlist the candidates for jobs, ISRO conducts ICRB (ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board Exam) for which the candidates have to apply through the official website. The entrance test consists of 80 MCQ questions consisting of a total of 240 marks. The candidates will have to score above the minimum cutoff as prescribed by ISRO in the written examination. The candidates who qualify the written test will be further called for the interview process. The candidates will have to score at least 60% in the interview test to get selected for a job at ISRO.
