List of M.Tech Entrance Exams in India

M.Tech is a 2-year program that pursued by students after completing their degree in bachelor's of technology. The article takes a look at the various entrance exams in India through which students can get admission into M.Tech.

M.Tech, abbreviated as a Master’s in Technology is a postgraduate degree that is pursued by the students after completing their (B.Tech). M.Tech is a two-year degree program where the students opt for a specific course in which they want to pursue their master’s. The specialistions offered in the M.Tech program include Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, etc.

M.Tech can be pursued as either a regular program or a part-time degree program. The applicants who hold a degree in diploma and acquire certain work experience can also apply for the M.Tech program. M.Tech in India is accredited under the aegis of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), University Grants Commission of India (UGC), and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The admission into the program is done on the basis of various state-level/university level/national level entrance exams which are mentioned in this article along with other details including eligibility, syllabus, dates, and fee structure.

M.Tech Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria 2020

In order to be eligible for the M.Tech entrance exams 2020, students need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • The students must have pursued their bachelor’s degree from any recognised board/university.

  • The student must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved caste) in their UG degree.

  • The applicant must have completed his 10+2 in the science stream with major subjects as physics/chemistry/maths.

  • Applicants who have pursued a 5 years course as a science program and acquire a master’s degree in science can also apply for the M.Tech program.

Power System: Power Systems, AC and DC transmission concepts, Power generation concepts, Electric field distribution and insulators, Models and performance.

Electronic Devices and Circuits: Analog and Digital Electronics Characteristics of diodes, MOSFET, BJT, Amplifiers, Simple diode circuits, Oscillators, and Feedback amplifiers

Mechanical Engineering

M.Tech Course Fee Structure 2020
