JKCET 2025 Counselling Procedure

Here is the step-by-step counselling procedure for the JKCET counselling. This step-by-step process will help the applicants know the right process for counselling.

1. Registration

The foremost step of the JKCET counselling process is registration & document verification. You need to register yourself on the official website by filling in the details for registration details and obtaining your password. You need to deposit the fees of Rs 1000/- to fill out the online preference form.

2. Making payment

You need to deposit the fees of Rs 1000/- to fill out the online preference form. No student will be allowed to fill in the online preference form until he/she make the payment for the counselling. Fees for the payment will only be accepted through online mode. And a payment receipt will be generated after payment is successfully made.

3. Filling & Submission of the Preference Form

You should select the choice of courses & colleges during the filling of the preference form in order of preference. You should select the most preferred option first, along with the college preference, followed by the second, third, fourth, and so on. You can only modify the choices until you submit them or lock them. Once the preferences are submitted, no changes will be entertained by the authorities under any circumstances.

It is very important for you to lock the choices before the last date as specified by the BOPEE. Along with this, it is also important to fill in the preference form without any errors. Any errors will not be rectified under any circumstances by the authorities.

After these two steps, candidates are asked to take a printout of the preference form. Check the payment status in the final printed reference form to confirm the submissions.

JKCET 2025 Counselling Fees

You must pay the JKCET 2025 counselling fees. Without the submission of the counselling fees, you will not be able to fill out the preference form and submit it. The JKCET 2025 counselling fee is Rs 1000/-. Without the payment of the fees, you will not be able to fill out any choices for colleges & courses. The JKCET 2025 counselling fees will be accepted through online mode only after successful registration.

Payment receipt will only be generated once the payment status shows as completed on the website. You can also check the payment status by logging in to the portal. Take a printout of the payment receipt for confirmation.

JKCET 2025 Seat Allotment

The JKCET 2025 seat allotment will be released in online mode after each round of the counselling. The seat allotment for the JKCET will be done on the basis of the rank & score obtained by you in the exam. It is mandatory for the you to submit the documents & report to the college once the seats have been allotted.

Important E-Counselling Instructions & Guidelines for Admission to B.E./B.Tech Courses

We have highlighted the important instructions that you should keep in mind while going through the counselling process. Check out the instructions carefully:

• Keep your documents like CET application number, CET roll number, CET score, and CET rank ready before applying for the counselling.

• It is imperative that you pay the non-refundable registration fee of Rs 1000 to complete the counselling process. You will only be able to fill out the preference form once you have deposited the fees.

• You can only modify the preference you have selected in the online preference form until you do not submit or lock the preference form. No correction can be made by you to the preference form once the choices are locked.

• Those who have completed their successfully submitted their preference form should download it from the official website for records.

• The fee payment for the online form will only be accepted through online mode, and you can easily check the payment status on the portal. It is advisable for you to take a printout of the fee payment form.

• It is very important to lock the preferences before the last date specified by the BOPEE, as not submitting them might lead to cancellation of the candidature.

• It is advisable for you to fill out the preference form with due diligence, as mistakes found later in the form will not be entertained by the authorities.

• In case you want to remove the preferences, you can do so by selecting the ‘discipline assigned box’ and by clicking on the << button. The preferences saved by you will be saved after you click on the save as draft option, and this will be in the draft form. The draft will be visible to you until you log into the portal till the final submission.

• You can also see the preference selected by you using the preview button. In case you want to lock the choices, tap on the lock choices option.

• Only those who have made their choice filling on time and have paid the fees will be considered. Applications that do not meet this criterion will be rejected.

• If any seats remain vacant after the 3rd round of counselling, then only the mop-up round for the counselling will be conducted. And if more seats remain available after the mock-up round, the authorities will then conduct the stray or special rounds of counselling.

• Those who have been allotted seats during any round of the counselling will have to download the seat allotment letter and physically report to their respective colleges with original documents to complete the admission formalities.
