How is Merit Rank Calculated in Odisha CPET 2025?
To calculate the Odisha CPET merit rank or to determine the merit order, the officials take into consideration the marks obtained by them in the Odisha CPET entrance examination, the marks scored by the candidates in their respective undergraduate qualifying exams, class XIIth and Xth board examinations. The combination of the marks secured by the candidates in their respective UG level, class Xth and XIIth board examinations are clubbed together and called “ Career Marks ”. The final merit list is prepared by clubbing together the “Career Marks” and marks obtained by the candidates in the Odisha CPET examination and the officials arrive at merit positions of the candidates.
Career Marks - Class Xth marks (05 marks) + Class XIIth marks (10 marks) + Undergraduate degree exam marks (15 marks) = 30
Final Marks - C areer Marks (30%) + Marks secured by the candidates in Odisha CPET (70%)
The officials also consider the reservation policy prescribed by the state government of Odisha during the preparation of the final merit list.
