BITS Pilani Admission 2024 - Dates, Criteria, Application Form Process

For BITS Pilani admission, candidates first must be eligible, appear in the required entrance exam conducted by the university and then must have received the confirmation letter. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani admission is offered for UG, PG, and doctoral-level courses. The university offers admission to courses like BE, BSc MSc, ME, MBA, MPhil, MPharm, MEd, etc. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani admission to UG courses is based on the BITSAT exam. For the rest of the PG courses, the university conducts the BITS HD exam. Admission to BITS Pilani PG courses like ME and MPharm also accept GATE and GPAT scores respectively. For MBA admission students need to qualify for BAAT/CAT/XAT/GMAT exams. For PhD admission, the university conducts the BITS PhD Entrance Test and also accepts fellowships like CSIR NET-JRF/DBT-JRF/UGC NET-JRF.

Students who have merit and need can claim a scholarship for a tuition fee waiver between 15% to 100%. Also, PhD students who do not have any other aid will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 31,000.

BITS Pilani admission is offered for only one management course which is MBA. It is a two-year PG course which is offered in a regular mode of study at the Pilani campus. For admission to MBA, students need to qualify for the Business Analytics Aptitude Test (BAAT) which is conducted by BITS Pilani. 1. Students who are eligible for MBA admission need to apply for the Business Analytics Aptitude Test (BAAT)/CAT/XAT/GMAT.
2. Students who qualify for the exam will be selected for the MBA programme.

BITS Pilani admission to the engineering stream is offered through two courses. One is at UG level and the other one is at the PG level. The university offers BE and ME programmes under its engineering category. BE is a four-year course while ME is a two-year course. Both these courses are offered in regular mode of study. Students need to score 60% or more marks in qualifying exams to get admission to engineering courses at BITS Pilani.

Eligibility for International Student

BITS Pilani admission to international students is offered under the International Students Admission (ISA) scheme. Foreign students can get admission to only UG courses at this university. To apply for admission, students must be citizens of any country other than India. Students also must score 60% or more marks in the Class 12 level exam and 70% marks in PCM or PCB courses. 1. Eligible students need to qualify for the required entrance exams. For BE, students need to qualify for BITSAT. 
2. For admission to ME, students can qualify for the BITS HD exam conducted by the university or have a valid GATE score. 
3. Then students need to apply for admission and wait for the university to extend the admission letter.

BITS Pilani admission to PhD is offered to students who have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in PG examination. Candidates must have an MPhil degree or fellowships like CSIR NET-JRF/DBT-JRF/UGC NET-JRF to get selected. Students who do not have these can attend the BITS PhD Entrance Test conducted by BITS Pilani.
