BMS Institute of Technology and Management was established in the year 2002 and is governed by BMS Educational Trust founded by Sri B M Sreenivasaiah and his illustrious son, Sri B S Narayan. It is a private, un-aided, non-minority, autonomous college which is situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. It has been recognised by UGC and has also been approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The BMSIT Bangalore courses are offered to interested candidates at the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. There are a total of 5 courses offered to the candidates in the stream of engineering, computer applications and management. These courses are offered in the offline regular mode to the candidates. The BMS Institute of Technology and Management admission to all the courses is offered on the basis of the candidate's performance in the respective entrance exam as well as the last qualifying exam. KCET (for BE courses), GATE/Karnataka PGCET (for ME/M.Tech courses) and KMAT/Karnataka PGCET (for MBA & MCA courses) are some of the entrance exams that are accepted by the institute for admission.
Students can take advantage of a gymnasium, boys' and girls' hostels, laboratories, a sports complex, transportation services, banking facilities, a full-fledged library, a canteen, and other amenities at the BMSIT Bangalore campus, which is spread out over an area of more than 13.6 acres.
