GATE 2024 Exam Centres

GATE exam centers 2024 was released on the official website. IISc Bangalore and 7 IITs are the 8 GATE zones which include 150+ exam cities across India where the exam was held on Feb 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The final details of the exam center along with the address were mentioned on the GATE 2024 Admit Card released on Jan 4, 2024. All the students are advised to carry their admit cards to the exam centers as no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without a document. 

This year, the institute did not conduct the examination at the international exam centers, however, international students were given the choice to choose the Indian cities to appear for the GATE 2024. How to Select GATE Exam Centers 2024?

Candidates can select the exam center while filling out the application form. This step comes before uploading of documents. You have to choose from the list of exam centers, however, the allotment of exam centers is based on the availability of seats. Once the exam center is selected, you have to move ahead with steps to complete the application form. The admit card will have the final details regarding the examination center and address which will only be issued after the successful payment of GATE fees. 

Students will also get the opportunity to change the exam center during the application form correction process. Once that date is over, no candidate will be entertained with requests for change in the GATE Exam Center.

GATE 2024 Admit Card

IISc Bangalore issued the GATE admit card 2024 on January 4, 2024, in online mode gate2024.iisc.ac.in.The hall ticket includes information such as the candidate's name, GATE 2024 exam date and timings, address, etc. Without a GATE hall ticket, no candidate will be able to take the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

Some of the guidelines that need to be followed on the exam day are mentioned below.

  • Candidates will have to carry their admit card to the GATE 2024 exam center along with valid photo ID proof. 
  • Do not carry any notebook or worksheet as a scribble pad will be provided inside the exam hall. Also, before leaving the GATE Examination Hall, you have to hand over the rough sheet to the invigilator. 
  • Do not carry any electronic item or any type of communication device to the exam hall. Carrying electronic devices will lead to disqualification. 
  • Candidates are not allowed to talk to each other inside the examination hall. 
  • Students are advised not to tamper with the computer system.
  • Candidates are advised not to carry any unfair means as this could lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
