GATE 2023 Admit Card

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will be RELEASING the GATE 2023 Admit Card on January 3, 2023. It must be noted that the GATE admit card 2023 will be issued only to those who successfully fill GATE Application Form 2023. In order to download the GATE 2023 admit card online, candidates will have to log in with their registration details, which include Enrollment ID and Password on GOAPS. How to Download GATE Admit Card 2023

IIT Kharagpur releases the GATE 2023 admit card in online mode. By following the below-mentioned steps, test-takers will be able to download their GATE 2023 admit card/hall ticket.

Step 1: To access the GATE 2022 admit card, click on the direct "GATE 2023 Admit Card/Hall Ticket" link provided above.

Step 2: You will be taken to the official website of IIT Bombay where you have to click on the link that displays, “Download GATE 2023 Admit Card”.

Step 3: After clicking on the link, enter GATE login credentials – Enrollment ID/registered E-mail ID, Password and Security Text.

Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ tab.

Step 5: GATE 2023 admit card will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Verify the filled details before printing the GATE admit card. 

Step 7: Download and save the GATE 2023 admit card.

Step 8: Take a coloured printout of the GATE admit card for future use.

Points to Remember Regarding GATE 2023 Admit Card

Here are some other important points related to GATE 2023 Admit Card: 

  • IIT Kharagpur does not send Admit cards to students at their mailing address. Candidates must download the admit card from the GOAPS portal of GATE.

  • The conducting body does not accept any request for changes in the exam centre, date or time of the examination. Students must appear for the examination on a specific date, time and location as mentioned on the admit card. 

  • Students must ensure that the photograph on the admit card and ID card that the student carries with him on the day of examination matches. 

  • The candidate must take the printout of the admit card in coloured printed form on an A4 sized paper. 

  • Special facility request on the day of examination is not entertained by the conducting body.

  • GATE 2023 Registration number must be clearly mentioned on the GATE 2023 admit card.

If a candidate forgets his/her Enrollment ID and Password for GATE 2023, he/she can follow the steps given below to retrieve the GATE 2023 Enrolment ID and Password:

  • Enter your registered mobile number.

  • GATE 2023 Enrollment ID will be sent to the registered mobile number and E-mail ID.

  • Click on “Request for OTP” to get a One Time Password.

  • One-Time Password will be sent to your registered mobile number.

  • After entering the OTP, you will be able to reset your password.

Discrepancy in GATE 2023 Admit Card

Both humans and computers are prone to errors and thus the candidates might find discrepancies in their admit card of GATE 2023. In such a case, it must be reported to the concerned authority immediately. The authority holds no responsibility to inform the candidates. Hence, it is advised to the candidates to double-check all the information before submitting the form.

IIT Kanpur has released the exam centers for GATE 2023 on the official website The GATE 2023 exam will be conducted in 176 exam centers. Candidates will be able to fill out the exam cities of GATE 2023 while filling out the application form. Candidates will be able to change the examination cities while making corrections in the application form. There will be no additional fee charged for changing the city preference. Following are the preparation tips for GATE 2023 that will be required by the candidates who are willing to prepare for the exam. 

Start With Early Preparation

Candidates are always required to always start with early preparation. Candidates will be able to accomplish their study targets and get a lot of time for revision and candidates will be at the top of their preparation by the time of the exam. Therefore candidates should not delay and start with their preparation beforehand.

Knowing the Exam Pattern and Syllabus of GATE 2023

The first step in effective preparation is type get ahold of the exam pattern and Syllabus of GATE 2023. When candidates know the GATE 2023 syllabus they are known about the topics that will be covered in the exam. The exam pattern of GATE 2023 states that the exam will be conducted on Computer Based Test (Online). The GATE 2023 exam will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours. There will be 29 papers for which the candidate will be appearing. Questions will be asked in three types-  Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Question divided into 2 sections- General Aptitude (GA) and Selected Subject by the candidate. The questions are designed to test the listed abilities in the form of Application, Analysis, Comprehension, Recall, and Synthesis. A total of 65 Questions will be asked (including 10 questions from General Aptitude). A total of 100 questions will be asked in the GATE 2023 exam. Candidates need to note that the MCQs are of 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer where 1/3 mark will be subtracted for every incorrect answer. For MCQs caring 2 marks for a correct answer; 2/3 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. There are no negative markings for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. 

Preparation of a Timetable

For preparing well for GATE 2023, candidates are required to prepare a timetable that is to be followed regularly in a systematic way. The timetable should be made in such a way that all the topics are given equal importance A personalized study plan should be constructed on the basis of the candidate’s dexterity in which the integrated topics have to be diverged according to the candidate’s preference. By having a proper study timetable readied, candidates will be able to follow their progress and understand what is to be studied and when. This will lessen the likelihood of the candidates distracting themselves with different activities other than the GATE 2023 preparation. Candidates should make sure that time to time revision and mock tests should also be given preferences in the schedule every day.

Above all the preparation candidates must revise the topics every day. According to the research, revision is the key to successful preparation for GATE 2023. Candidates must give sufficient time to revise various subjects and chapters so that everything remains new in their minds.
