GATE 2020 Admit Card - Download Now

The GATE 2020 admit card has been released by IIT Delhi in online mode on the 03rd of January in 2020, which is also the conducting body of the exam. It must be noted that the GATE admit card 2020 has been issued only to those who successfully filled GATE Application Form 2020. In order to download the GATE 2020 admit card online, candidates will have to log in with their registration details, which includes Enrollment ID and Password.

GATE 2020 hall ticket is available now. You can download the admit card of GATE 2020 directly from here. The candidates must know that the GATE 2020 admit card will only be accessed from the GOAPS official site and the link provided below will take the candidates to the official admit card page.

GATE 2020 is going to be conducted by IIT Delhi for the candidates who wish to take admission in M.E./M.Tech/PhD and many other engineering courses offered at prestigious institutes of the country. The admit card of GATE 2020 will include exam related and candidate-specific details like – date of exam, time of the exam, registration number of the candidate, name of the candidate, venue/centre details and important instructions about the exam. How to Download GATE Admit Card 2020

IIT Delhi will release the GATE 2020 admit card in online mode. By following the below-mentioned steps, test-takers will be able to download their GATE 2020 admit card/hall ticket.

Step 1: To access the GATE 2020 admit card, click on the direct "GATE 2020 Admit Card/Hall Ticket" link provided above.

Step 2: You will be taken to the official website of IIT Delhi where you have to click on the link that displays, “Download GATE 2020 Admit Card”.

Step 3: After clicking on the link, enter GATE login credentials – Enrollment ID/registered E-mail ID, Password and Security Text.

Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ tab.

Step 5: GATE 2020 admit card will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Verify the filled details before printing the GATE admit card. 

Step 7: Download and save the GATE 2020 admit card.

Step 8: Take a coloured printout of the GATE admit card for future use.

Important Instructions Before Printing GATE Admit Card 2020

Before downloading and printing the GATE 2020 admit card/hall ticket, candidates must follow the important instructions given below:

  • GATE 2020 Registration number must be clearly mentioned on the GATE 2020 admit card.

  • Candidates must verify all the details given on the GATE 2020 admit card.

  • Candidates’ Photograph and Signature should be clear and legible.

  • Candidates’ Signature on the day of the exam and in the GATE 2020 hall ticket should be the same.

  • In case a candidate finds any discrepancy in his/her admit card, then it must be immediately reported to the concerned authority.

Other Important Instructions Related to GATE Admit Card 2020

Apart from the above-mentioned points related to Admit Card download, here are some other important points related to GATE Admit Card: 

  • IIT Delhi does not send Admit card to students on their mailing address. Candidates must download the admit card from GOAPS portal of GATE.

  • The conducting body does not accept any request for changes in the exam center, date or time of the examination. Students must appear for the examination on a specific date, time and location as mentioned on the admit card. 
  • Students must ensure that the photograph on the admit card and ID card that the student carries with him on the day of examination matches. 
  • The candidate must take the print out of the admit card in coloured printed form on an A4 sized paper. 
  • Special facility request on the day of examination is not entertained by the conducting body.

ID Proofs Required with GATE 2020 Admit Card

For identification purposes, candidates will be required to carry their photo identification proofs in original along with their GATE 2020 admit card. It must be noted that if any candidate fails to carry his/her original ID proof, then he/she will not be allowed inside the exam hall.

Steps to Retrieve GATE 2020 Enrollment ID and Password

If a candidate forgets his/her Enrollment ID and Password for GATE 2020, he/she can follow the steps given below to retrieve the GATE 2020 Enrolment ID and Password:

For Enrollment ID:

  • In case of Enrollment ID, click on “Forgot Enrollment ID”.

  • Enter your registered mobile number.

  • GATE 2020 Enrollment ID will be sent to the registered mobile number and E-mail ID.

For Password:

  • Click on “Request for OTP” to get One Time Password.

  • One Time Password will be sent to your registered mobile number.

  • After entering the OTP, you will be able to reset your password.

Discrepancy in GATE 2020 Admit Card

Both humans and computers are prone to errors and thus the candidates might find discrepancies in their admit card of GATE 2020. In such a case, it must be reported to the concerned authority immediately. The authority holds no responsibility to inform the candidates. Hence, it is advised to the candidates to double-check all the information before submitting the form.

Things Not to Carry on the Exam Day

The candidates must refrain themselves from carrying the following items:

  • Cellular device/mobile phones

  • Electronic calculating gadgets
