Karnataka BEAD D Pharm Admissions

Board of Examining Authority (BEAD) is responsible for conducting D Pharmacy (Diploma in Pharmacy) course admission in government and private pharmacy colleges across Karnataka. However, the role of BEAD is limited to filling only a limited number of seats in private pharmacy colleges and all seats in government pharmacy colleges in Karnataka. Candidates aspiring for D Pharmacy admission in Karnataka must follow the admission procedure specified by BEAD Karnataka. At the same time, the candidates must satisfy the D Pharmacy eligibility criteria as per the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) norms. Usually, BEAD Karnataka begins the admission process for Diploma in Pharmacy course in July every year. Aspirants must note that only a limited number of seats in private pharmacy colleges are available under the government quota. The management of respective colleges fills only 80-90% of seats D Pharmacy course, while only 10-20% of seats in private pharmacy colleges are filled under the government quota.

BEAD D Pharma Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates aspiring for D Pharma admission in Karnataka government and pharmacy colleges must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned below –

Domicile Rules

  • Domicile rules are applicable for government quota seats in private pharmacy colleges and all seats in government pharmacy colleges.
  • Candidates aspiring to secure admission under the government quota must have passed Class 10 & 12 in Karnataka, and he/ she must be the bonafide resident of the Karnataka state.
  • For management quota seats, domicile rules are not applicable.

Academic Requirements

  • D. Pharmacy aspirants of Karnataka must have passed Class 12 in the Science stream (PCB, PCBM, etc.)
  • The candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12 to be eligible for the admission process.

Karnataka (BEAD) D Pharmacy Admissions 2023 Application Form

The application process for D Pharmacy admissions in Karnataka is different for government quota seats and management quota seats. More details are elaborated below.

Candidates aspiring for D Pharma admission in Karnataka must note that there is no online application process for seeking admission under the government quota. For government quota seats, the candidates must download the application form from the official website of BEAD. The candidates must fill the application form. After filling the application form for D Pharma admission in Karnataka, the candidates must report to the Registration Committee at the Government College of Pharmacy. The candidates must enclose relevant documents along with the application form.

Candidates aspiring to seek D Pharma admission through the management quota of private pharmacy colleges in Karnataka can directly apply through the official websites of the college or visit the college directly to obtain the application form. The candidates can seek direct admission without any entrance test. 80-90% of D Pharmacy seats in private pharmacy colleges are reserved under the management quota.

Karnataka BEAD D Pharmacy Admission Process 2023

Candidates aspiring for admission in government pharmacy colleges or government quota seats in private pharmacy colleges across Karnataka must report to the registration committee at Government College of Pharmacy, Bangalore along with application form and mandatory documents. The admission process will be conducted at the venue itself, and the candidates will be allocated seats on the spot. The selected candidates must pay first-year D Pharmacy course fees, i.e., Rs. 12,000 to the Registration Committee and obtain an admission letter. The candidates must pay the D Pharma course fee within two days after the confirmation of admission.

Private pharmacy colleges offer D Pharmacy admission as per the merit/ percentage in Class 12. At the same time, admissions are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

All candidates are required to produce the list of important documents mentioned below, mandatory for Karnataka D Pharm Admission 2023, during the application form fill-up process:

Kalinga University offers B.Pharma, M.Pharma, and D.Pharma courses in the Pharmacy department. For B.Pharma and D.Pharma admission, you must have scored at least 45% marks in Class 12, and for M.Pharma, you must have a B.Pharma degree from a recognised university. M.Pharma and D.Pharma fees stand at Rs 2,55,250 and B.Pharma fees at Rs 5,01,250.

Dear Gaurav, 

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Uttarakhand conducts the Uttarakhand polytechnic admission through the Board of Technical Education Uttarakhand. Hence, the courses offered by Government Polytechnic Haridwar have a seat intake as prescribed by the affiliating university. The diploma course duration is of 3 years and you must have completed class 10 from a recognised board of education. As far as seat intake is concerned, the authorities have not yet specified the number of seats available. However, the admission process is ongoing for the current session.
