D.Pharm Eligibility Criteria 2020
The eligibility criteria for D.Pharm admissions in India as follows:
- In order to take admission, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent with minimum 50% marks from any recognized board of education.
Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their main subjects.
At the time of admission, candidates should be a minimum of 17 years of age.
D.Pharm Application Process 2020
The application process of D.Pharm admissions in India will vary from course to course. Usually, the application process is available both in online and offline mode. Candidates are required to fill in all the important details while filling the application form. The application process is considered completed after the payment of the application fee.

Like many courses, admissions to the Diploma in Pharmacy courses offered across India will be based on a certain set of processes, which need to be completed within a stipulated period of time. Commonly across institutes, two major admission processes are adopted, namely, Entrance-based and Merit-based admissions. Entrance-Based Admission Processes for D.Pharm
Under entrance-based admissions, there are two popular types of entrance exams commonly conducted across different states, namely, State-Level and University Level entrance test.
Therefore, before applying for admissions, candidates must go through the admission policy of each college they wish to apply for.
State-Level Entrance-Based Admissions:
Candidates will be asked to apply to the conducting body as appointed by the state.
Once applied, candidates will be asked to participate in the state-level entrance test and await further directions regarding admissions.
Under State-Level entrance tests, admissions are usually done via a counselling-based admission process, wherein the candidates will be asked to select the course and college offering their choice of course.
The conducting body will then release merit lists containing the names of all candidates according to their respective scores in the entrance test.
Admissions will be offered to the prospective students in the order of merit as per the merit lists.
University-Level Entrance-Based Admissions:
Here, each university or college will organise a university-level entrance test, the scores of which will be applicable for the courses offered by the university itself or its affiliating colleges.
Candidates will be asked to participate in the entrance test conducted by the university on the stipulated date and time with the appropriate documents such as an Admit Card and Photo ID.
After attempting the entrance test, colleges or universities will release merit lists containing the names of all candidates along with their ranks and scores obtained in the entrance test.
Depending on the admission policy adopted by the concerned college, candidates may be asked to participate in the selection processes which may include a Personal Interview-based selection or a counselling-based admission. (Selection Processes Defined Below)
Merit-Based Admissions
Here, candidates simply need to apply to the college or university of their choice and follow the admission protocols put in place by the admissions committee of the concerned college.

Personal Interview-Based Selection Processes
Here, depending on the admission policy of the respective colleges, merit lists will be released by the educational institutions with the names of all its applicants and their respective scores and/or ranks.
Based on the merit lists, candidates will be called in the order of merit and asked to sit for a Personal Interview and/or Group Discussion. Few Colleges/institutions may include different selection methods to shortlist prospective students.
Considering the overall performance of the candidates in the different selection parameters such as the past academic record/entrance test score and the performance in the personal interview and/or group discussion, etc, the university/college will shortlist the prospective students.
Counselling-Based Selection Process
Commonly opted by Universities with a large number of affiliated and constituent colleges offering same or similar courses, candidates will be asked to appear for the counselling rounds on the stipulated date and time.
During the counselling rounds, the candidates will be asked to select the course and college as per their choice.
The university or admissions committee will then offer the candidates seats as per their ranks in the merit lists, their preferred choice of college and course, and the availability of seats in the respective choices.
