D Pharma Admission Process 2022

Admission to Diploma in Pharmacy courses offered across India will be based on a certain set of processes, which need to be completed within a stipulated period of time. Commonly across institutes, two major admission processes are adopted, namely, Entrance-based and Merit-based admissions. Check out the steps and admissions processes under the two different methods of D Pharma admission processes in India.

Entrance-Based Admission Processes

Under entrance-based admissions, there are two popular types of entrance exams commonly conducted across different states, namely, State-Level and University Level entrance tests. Therefore, before applying for admissions, candidates must go through the admission policy of each college they wish to apply for.

State-Level Entrance-Based Admissions

  • Candidates will be asked to apply to the conducting body as appointed by the state.

  • Once applied, candidates will be asked to participate in the state-level entrance test and await further directions regarding admissions.

  • Under State-Level entrance tests, admissions are usually done via a counselling-based admission process, wherein the candidates will be asked to select the course and the college offering their choice of course.

  • The conducting body will then release merit lists containing the names of all candidates according to their respective scores in the entrance test.

  • Admissions will be offered to the prospective students in the order of merit as per the merit lists.

University-Level Entrance-Based Admissions

  • Here, each university or college will organize a university-level entrance test, the scores of which will be applicable to the courses offered by the university itself or its affiliating colleges.

  • Candidates will be asked to participate in the entrance test conducted by the university on the stipulated date and time with the appropriate documents such as an Admit Card and Photo ID.

  • After attempting the entrance test, colleges or universities will release merit lists containing the names of all candidates along with their ranks and scores obtained in the entrance test.

  • Depending on the admission policy adopted by the concerned college, candidates may be asked to participate in the selection processes which may include a Personal Interview-based selection or a counselling-based admission.

Merit-Based Admissions Process

In situations where admission is based on merit, candidates simply need to apply to the college or university of their choice and follow the admission protocols put in place by the admissions committee of the concerned college. The selection processes under such a method of admission may include a Personal Interview-based selection process or counselling-based selection process.

*Note: Aspirants must note, that the admission processes adopted by the colleges will be specific to the needs and requirements of the college offering the course of your choice. Therefore, it is advisable to go through the admission processes of each college prior to completing the application processes.
