D. Pharm admissions in Tamil Nadu are conducted by Tamil Nadu Health Association. Admission to the D.Pharm colleges in TN is done on the basis of merit and counselling is conducted for the same.

The Tamil Nadu D.Pharm admissions 2020 will most likely begin by September and the entire admission process is managed the Health Association of the state. Therefore, any candidate who wishes to pursue the 2-year diploma in pharmacy in the state must follow the guidelines that have been mentioned below.

Tamil Nadu D.Pharm Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility for D.Pharm admissions in Tamil Nadu is as follows:

  • Candidates must have passed H.S.C with Physics, Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology or Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology as their main subject or its equivalent

  • At the time of Admission, the Candidates should be at least 17 years (Maximum Age= 30 Years)

  • For SC/ST Candidates the maximum age limit is 35 years.

Tamil Nadu D.Pharm Application Process 2020

The Online application of D.Pharm for Government and Self Financing Colleges will be available on Tamil Nadu Health Department official website- www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in/

  • To apply, visit the official website

  • Fill out the application form and make sure no compulsory section is left vacant

  • While filling up the application form the applicant needs to provide their Class 10th, 11th and 12th marks, Transfer Certificate, Proof of study from Class 6 to 12 and Community Certificate

  • After filling up the application form candidates need to submit their application form along with relevant documents to the selection committee within the specified date and time.

  • Application Registration Number will be assigned to the applicant by the Selection Committee.

  • By entering their application number, candidates can track their applications from the official website of the college

Documents required for Tamil Nadu D.Pharm Admission 2020

Some of the important documents required at the time of D.Pharm admissions in Tamil Nadu are as follows:

  • H.S.C. examination Certificate and Mark sheet
  • H.S.C Admit Card/ Hall Ticket

  • Class 10th Certificate

  • Transfer certificate

  • Nativity certificate

  • Permanent Community Certificate

  • Certificate for proof of study from Class 6th to 12th.

Note:- Candidates are instructed to enclose only the photocopies (not original) of the following certificates in the A4 Envelope along with the application.

Tamil Nadu D.Pharm Selection Process 2020

The selection of the applicant for the D.Pharm in TN is made on the basis of merit, i.e. the performance of candidates in the last qualifying test. The TN D.Pharm merit list will be prepared on the basis of the formula mentioned below:

Merit List/ Ranking= (X+Y) OR (Z+Y) OR (W+Y)/ Maximum total marks in subjects X 100

X= Total marks obtained in Biology

Y= Total marks secured in Physics and Chemistry

Z= Total marks secured in Botany and Zoology

W= Total marks secured in Mathematics

The merit list will be published on the Tamil Nadu Health Department's official web site. Candidates whose name appear in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the Tamil Nadu D.Pharm Counselling

Tamil Nadu D.Pharm Counselling Process 2020

Candidates will be called for TN D.Pharm counselling as per their ranks in the merit list. The schedule for the counselling will be announced on the official website. Before attending the counselling process the candidates need to pay the processing fee of Rs 250/- (Non-Refundable) by Demand Draft (DD) drawn in name of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10” payable at Chennai.

Candidates may select the college of their own choice at the time of counselling, and the same will be distributed according to the availability of seats. For unforeseen reasons, if a candidate can not attend the counselling on the date and time specified, their parent may attend the counselling on their behalf.

Special Categories:-

Special Category Counseling (Ex-Servicemen & PwD) will be done before the General Category. But there will be no re-allocation / change of college after the counselling process

Number of Seats Reserved for Children of Ex-Servicemen in Government College= 8 Seats

Note:- Candidates who do not receive the call letter will also take part in the counselling session.
