List of Documents Required for Karnataka MBBS Admission 2025 includes the date of birth certificate, government IDs like Aadhar Card, address and age proof, domicile certificate, etc. Candidates need to upload their photograph and signature along with other documents.

List of Documents Required for Karnataka MBBS Admission 2024

Documents Required for Karnataka MBBS Admission 2025 : Marksheet of Class 10th and 12th, domicile certificate, and reservation certificate are a few of the documents that are mandatory during the document verification process of Karnataka MBBS admission 2025. Many other documents are also mandatory based on the category a student has applied for admission. student must reach KEA in person along with all the required documents. During the Karnataka NEET 2025 Counselling , student must keep all the important documents ready. Failure to submit any document will lead to the cancellation of candidature.

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will start Karnataka MBBS Admission 2025 on July 2025. The document verification process precedes the seat allotment according to the rank secured by the student in the Karnataka NEET Merit List 2025 . The list of Documents Required for Karnataka MBBS Admission 2025 is defined by KEA in the official exam brochure. The KEA has identified different classes of student who have to carry the requisite documents to claim nativity or reservation. Requisite Documents for Karnataka MBBS Admission 2025

The student are required to produce the original documents to claim eligibility or reservation under the 85% of state government quota seats. However, there are a few documents that applicants belonging to every class or clause have to produce:

  • Senior Secondary Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or 10 th Marksheet

  • 2 nd Pre-University Course (PUC) or 12 th Marksheet

  • student’s study certificate

  • If claiming a Reservation- Caste certificate and Caste income certificate in Form D for SCT/ST, Category-I in Form E and 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B issued by the concerned Tahsildar.

List of Category-Wise Documents Required for Karnataka MBBS Admission 2025

Other than the above mentioned documents, applicants have to produce the following documents according to their category:

Students studying in Karnataka for 7 years

  • Passing certificates from classes 1 st to 12 th for seven years.

  • Rural quota - Rural study certificate from classes 1 st to 10 th .

  • Kannada medium quota - Kannada Medium study certificate from classes 1 st to 10 th .

Students who have not completed their 7 years in Karnataka

Student should have passed either their 10 th and 12 th or 1 st and 2 nd PUC exams from Karnataka, and one of their parents should have completed their 7 years of education from Karnataka. They have to provide: -

  • A study certificate of either of the parents verifying the seven years of their education from Karnataka, issued by the head of the institution where they studied.

  • Student's exam certificate that he completed 10 th or 12 th or 1 st and 2 nd PUC from Karnataka from the head of the educational institution.

Student whose mother tongue is Kannada

The student and either of the parents’ mother tongue should be either Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava, and either one of the parents was domiciled in the state of Karnataka. The student should have studied outside Karnataka and is residing there as of 1 st May 2025. Such a student is required to take a language test too, and they shall provide: -

  • A domicile certificate issued by the Revenue or Municipal Authorities of the place where either of his parents has been residing to verify that his parents have resided outside Karnataka as of 1 st May 2025.

  • A domicile certificate was issued by the authorities of Karnataka to verify the previous domicile of either of his parents in Karnataka.

  • Student’s study certificate, Transfer certificate having mother tongue details.

  • 10 th Marksheet of either of his parents with the original mother tongue certificate mentioning Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava as the mother tongue.

  • A declaration or affidavit was sworn by the student regarding the mother tongue.

Student living in disputed areas

A student having Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava as their mother tongue and has studied for a period of 7 years in the state between classes 1 st to 12 th having resided in disputed areas of Karnataka such as Kannada speaking area of South Sholapur or Akkalkot or Jath or Gadhinglaj Taluks of Maharashtra State or Kasargod or Hosadurga or Manjeshwar Taluks of Kerala State. The student are required to take a language test given by KEA and should be able to secure at least 12 marks in the test. These student shall submit: -

  • Certificate of residence issued by the Tahsildar of the disputed area.

  • Student’s study certificate issued by the head of the institution and attested by Taluk Education officer with mother tongue details.

  • An affidavit regarding mother tongue.

The student whose parents are defence personnel

A student whose either of the parents has worked for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the 11 th or 12 th class of the student. The student must have completed intermediate from the state. They are required to provide: -

  • Student’s study certificate verifying that he has completed his intermediate from Karnataka issued by the head of the institution where he studied.

  • Employment certificate of either of the parent certifying that either of them has worked in the state of Karnataka for one year during the student’s 11 th or 12 th issued by the controlling officer of the parent mentioning reporting and discharging date.

The student whose parent belongs to Karnataka and works as a defence personnel

Son and daughter of working defence personnel who declared a place in Karnataka as their hometown at the time of joining. The student must have completed his intermediate from any institution in India. He shall submit: -

These student shall submit:

  • Proof of declaration of hometown obtained from the army headquarters branch which should be a respective branch of integrated HQ of MoD for Officers and respective Record Offices for JCOs / OR.
Student whose parent has served in Karnataka for one year

This clause applied to a student whose parent is posted at Jammu and Kashmir or Northeast but the family is permitted to reside in Karnataka. The student must have passed the intermediate or equivalent from Karnataka and his parent must have served in Karnataka at least for a year.

  • A study certificate of the student having studied 12 th or 2 nd PUC from Karnataka.

  • Certificate issued by the controlling office mentioning the period of service in Karnataka of the parent and the present place of posting represented by the name of the place and not code numbers.

student whose parent is an ex-serviceman

This clause is applicable to student whose parent has retired from defence forces and declared one of the places in Karnataka as their hometown at the time of joining. Such student should have completed their 12 th or equivalent from any place in India. They shall submit: -

  • The proof of domicile of the parent was issued by the Deputy Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement of the district and attested by the Director, Department of Sainik Welfare Resettlement, Bangalore.
The student whose parent works for the government

The student whose parent works with the Union or state government undertaking and can be transferred as required anywhere in India can apply. The parent should have served in Karnataka for at least a year during which the student must have completed his 11th or 12th or equivalent from Karnataka. They are required to provide: -

  • student’s study certificate issued by the head of the institution.

  • A certificate issued by the employer of the parent stating he can be transferred anywhere and mentioning the tenure while he was in Karnataka.

  • A certificate identifying his employer as Union Government or Union or Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking.

The student whose parents worked for the government

The conditions of this clause are the same as above with two differences. The parent is now retired from the services of the Union Government or Union or Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking and he should have studied in Karnataka for 7 years. Such student are required to submit: -

  • A certificate stating that the parent completed 7 years of his studies in Karnataka was issued by the head of the institution.

  • Declaration of home town in Karnataka at the time of joining issued by the employer and showing that the parent was transferable anywhere in India.

student whose parents are MPs

The student whose either of the parent was elected as a Member of Parliament from Karnataka and student must have passed the 12 th or equivalent from anywhere in India. They shall provide the following documents required for Karnataka MBBS admission 2025: -

  • Certificate showing parent as elected member of the parliament issued by the Parliament Secretariat.
Student whose parent is an IAS or employee of the state government

Student whose either of the parents is serving or has retired as: -

  • an IAS of Karnataka cadre

  • as an employee of the Karnataka state government

and has served outside the state during the 1 st to 12 th classes of the student come under this clause. The student must have studied for 7 years during the stipulated period. Such student shall provide: -

  • Certificate issued by the Principal Secretary / Deputy Secretary / Under Secretary, DPAR, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore to certify the employment of the parent. It shall include the period during which he served or is serving outside the state as an IAS or,

  • Certificate from the respective HoD where the parent was employed as an employee of the state government to that effect.

Student whose parents are in Jammu and Kashmir, migrant

The conditions of this clause apply to the student whose parents have migrated from Jammu and Kashmir. These student can only apply for seats allotted for them by the government. They shall submit: -

  • The proof of migration or identity card issued by the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of any state in India.
Student having studied Kannada but resides outside Karnataka

Student who have been residing outside Karnataka, but have studied Kannada from 1 st to 10 th classes may also apply. They need not take the language test and have completed their 12 th or equivalent from anywhere in India. They shall provide: -

  • A domicile certificate issued by the respective Revenue and Municipal Authorities verifying that either of the parents has resided outside the state of Karnataka as of 1 st May 2025.

  • student’s study certificate issued by the Head of the institution where he studies verifying that he studied Kannada from classes 1 st to 10 th .

Student who either parent is a CAPF personnel

This clause applies to the sons and daughters of the serving or retired Central Armed Police Force personnel who declared a place in Karnataka s their home tow while joining the forces. The student must have passed the 12 th or equivalent anywhere in India. These student shall provide: -

  • Proof of domicile of the parent issued by the Record Office of the CAPF Unit where the parent’s records are maintained.

Important notice: -

The contents of the certificates and documents to be submitted should either be in Kannada or English. If they are in some other language, they should be either translated either to English or Kannada through the concerned authorities and duly verified. The same shall be produced during the seat allotment process. If this procedure is not followed, the candidature of the applicant would be rejected by the KEA.

Original Documents Required for First Category Seats (G) in Karnataka MBBS Counselling 2025

  • Original printout of the Online Application Form

  • Receipt or proof of payment of the application fees.

  • UG NEET 2025 Admission Ticket and Scorecard

  • Senior Secondary Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or 10 th Marksheet

  • 2 nd Pre-University Course (PUC) or 12 th Marksheet

  • Study Certificate countersigned by the concerned BEO / DDPI

  • 2 Passport size Photograph Uploaded in the Online Application

It is difficult to get an MBBS admission at GMERS Medical College, Vadodara with 300 marks in NEET 2025. The cutoff in the college is usually above 480, even for reserved categories. You can still consider institutes from the List of Medical Colleges for 300-400 Marks in NEET UG 2025 for MBBS admission.
